Hello everyone, just trying to figure out what is the replacement frequency on a mask or nasal pillow? I have had my Resmed airfit p10 for over a year. I keep it very clean, but I am thinking of replacing it. Also is there a better nasal mask than a p10?
Thanks!

Re: Ammonia smell in my nose
Thanks, everyone! I will meet with my ent doctor. The story behind my name is simple, I'm a technician who works in high containment laboratories on sterilization equipment and decontamination equipment so I have dirtyhands!

Ammonia smell in my nose
Hello for the past few weeks I have been noticing an ammonia smell when I take a deep breath through my nose. I clean my nasal pillow cushion daily with mild soap and hot water and air dry. I'm very hygienic with my apap and only use distilled water in my humidifier. I read somewhere online that the...

Re: Poll: Length of time on xPAP before feeling 90-100% restored
I've been on apap for 25 days straight with 95% compliance, it would of been 100% if my power didn't go out and I didn't have to leave early to work out of town. My sleep study I had 140 ahi and now with apap I have less than 1.0 ahi. I thought I would feel completely different, but honestly I just ...

Re: Resmed Airfit P10 - 10 day review
Glad you enjoy the p10 as well! I average about 8 hours with the p10 and also a mouth breather too. I'm in the USA and have all three sizes in my resmed box. Strange to say the least. Take care!

Re: Nasal Whistle on exhale
I also have the p10 and it will wistle at night especially if I roll over to my side. I wiggle it to reseal the pillows, it usually stops whistling. Sometimes I stop machine and re fit my nasel pillow. I also agree taking it apart and cleaning daily is a good move.

Re: Used CPAP options
Thanks I found a nice guy who works for a DME in Atlanta, I'm meeting him tomorrow for a used s9 auto set with new humidifier and hoses for $260, I will power it up to verify hours but he said around 700 hours. He also said that it has a new filter. Anything I should look for? Thanks for your great ...

Used CPAP options
Hello all, I'm looking into getting a CPAP used since my insurance deductible is so high and my doctor recommended DME will charge me over $350 for mask and set up before ever buying or leasing a machine. So what models are good used? Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: I'm new, can I trial a cpap? Before I commit tones of cash
Thanks, I did have a sleep study, I was rudely awakened and had to put a mask on. I didn't catch what make it was, it seemed pretty bad. I was diagnosed with severe osa. The doctor couldn't believe I had apnea and I didn't either, but at this point I feel like I am committed, just want the best valu...

Re: I'm new, can I trial a cpap? Before I commit tones of cash
Thanks, everyone for your great comments. I think I will use your suggestions, I think I am in denial, I think looking like a downed fighter pilot is fine if I give my wife snoring relief and not potentially developing a situation where I get ED! YIKES! I will contact my insurance and try to go else...

I'm new, can I trial a cpap? Before I commit tones of cash
Hello, I've been married 11 years and I'm age 34 and not overweight. I never thought I needed a CPAP, I have snored like crazy and my wife wanted me to visit the doctor. Long story short, after a sleep study, they want me top commit to a CPAP. I think I have an issue, but I feel the whole process is...
