Re: New Cpap
No not giving up but I don't think CPAP is the whole answer to the problem. Still only sleep 2 hours at a time. Wake up times between can be as long as 2 to 4 hours. Most nights 4 hours sleep total. No sleep RX work. Dr mystified and now guessing on other courses of action.

Previously owned machines
I have an opportunity to buy a used CPAP which will stop the ridiculous monthly rental fee from my insurance company. It is from a private individual. Is it safe to use and is there a way to sanitize the machine itself? I know the hose mask and filter part plus cleaning the dehumidifier basin but ca...

Re: Masks are torture Help
Update: I received my pad a cheek in the mail, trimmed nose hairs and found a small crochet hook (which works wonderfully), To bed I went thinking confidently. i spend a good amount of time adjusting the mask again with the new pad a cheek liner. Still had the nose itch so the nose hair issue may or...

Ok good advice as usual. However I same using a homemade cloth similar to pad a cheek which I am waiting to arrive. Would the lotion be a problem with this cloth cover?

Every time I first put on the mask get it secure and lay down just at the point I'm about to drift off my nose itches. I have to remove the mask put it back on adjust everything ...

Re: Masks are torture Help
All I can say is what a fabulous support group with great ideas. As I type this in the middle of the night and I am awake again but armed with ideas and Pad a Cheek on the way. I thought the Taming the Mirage link was very informative and have printed it out to try in the morning. I am not sure on h...

Re: Masks are torture Help
Thank you for the good advice. I didn't know CPAP.com would lend masks for 30 days. Has anyone tried the hybrid full face with nasal pillows. Sometimes reading in bed will help me fall asleep. While I can do it with current mask it requires taking the mask off to remove glasses. I will also check in...
