Re: Newbie here: 2 nights on a CPAP

I also think one of the more popular ones is "AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask" but everyone is different.

Re: Newbie here: 2 nights on a CPAP

I didn't realize what type of mask would work well until I tried a few wrong ones to help steer me. It took me about 15 days to get things moving in the right direction. I love my nasal pillows, but I have a friend who struggled with it because of his mustache. Hopefully you find a work-around with ...

Re: Update on Mike

So sorry for your loss. My father died on my sisters birthday. Shortly after he passed, she turned to me with tears in her eyes and said- "now dad and I share this special day together". So valentines day is even more special for the both of you. May time heal your heart and memories comfort your so...

Re: Pissed off scared and depressed

Took me about 15 days to fine tune and educate (via here) to make adjustments (change masks and settings). At 47 days now and I actually like the feeling of the cpap. The air is soothing and puts me to sleep. My SO loves not hearing me snore, I have lost 10lbs from doing nothing more than using the ...

new user feedback and thanks

what an interesting experience. What I have found, like most times is nobody cares more about your treatment than you. One DME I dealt with had zero knowledge and I choose to move on. I am still learning a lot and that is why I don't post much. But in the two short weeks; I purchased my own "good" m...

Re: Throat closing at night still

Amen about seeing a Dr. My dad had throat issues and it became a much bigger medical event.

Re: Hours needed for sleep study

The problem with the home sleep I took is there is no way to tell how long I slept. With mine- I guess I slept 3 hours. As a result, I was diagnosed at mild, but when I told the dr I only slept like 3 hours- then I was now severe. What bothered me the most was I didn't find out until after, that I c...

Insurance Humana PPO

Okay just venting- but I was shocked about how my insurance is unwilling to pay anything on my equipment. They were all good with paying for the testing, they just don't want to treat it I guess. Talking with and trying to deal with the DME- I guess it might be a blessing in disguise. They are slow ...
