Re: First night with data enabled machine....AHI high
Great stuff! When I picked up my new machine yesterday and the guy was setting it up as we were talking he asked if I worked in the medical industry because I know so much. Ha! Everything I've learned has been from the great posters here. I'll try CPAP mode tonight to see if that helps. The brick di...

Re: First night with data enabled machine....AHI high
As always the support on this forum is awesome.
As far as opening my mouth. I don't think I am, but I was hoping the data on the machine might tell me if I was and didn't know it.
I'll give it a couple of weeks to adjust and get a better picture. Thanks for the link to upload images.

First night with data enabled machine....AHI high
So I finally got to swap my brick for an Airsense 10 Autoset. The pressure was set at 7-13 (10 was my prescribed pressure). The APAP pressure felt different, so I didn't sleep as well. I figure I'll get used to it in a few days. My big concern is my first Sleepyhead report. It listed my AHIs at 11.5...

Re: Swift FX Nasal Pillow Hurts....Tips or alternatives?
Well I checked out the guide and loosened the straps up quite a bit. It seemed much better last night. Picked up some AYR gel this AM and hope to have similar luck tonight.

Re: Swift FX Nasal Pillow Hurts....Tips or alternatives?
Thanks all. Will check out the guide. Yeah my cartilage on the left side of my septum is for some reason really sensitive and touching it hurts. I'll check out the guide and loosen my strap and see where that gets me.

Swift FX Nasal Pillow Hurts....Tips or alternatives?
I really want this mask to work, but the pressure on the cartilage between my nostrils is waking me up at night. I guess that area is just sensitive on me. The seal seems great, the bulk is as minimal as I've been able to find. I just can't get past the discomfort. I've tried both the large and medi...

Re: REMStar 60 Series....should I keep it
Update: Talked with insurance today. Asked about the bare bones unit and if they pay the same just as long as it falls in the usual CPAP code. I couldn't get a straight answer from the rep, she kept saying she had to talk with the nurse. The DME hadn't turned in any paperwork for me yet, so she had ...

Re: REMStar 60 Series....should I keep it
Excellent thought. My doc is pretty cool, so I don't see that being an issue.

Re: REMStar 60 Series....should I keep it
An update....not very good news. My DMR claims that insurance will only cover the bare bones model. I feel like I've seen conflicting reports on that here. She claimed basically all insurance companies only will cover a basic unit. Anyone have any experience regarding similar claims? She said if I g...

Re: REMStar 60 Series....should I keep it
It looks like they may offer the Resmed S9 AutoSet. I believe it has data and a special exhale feature. Might this be a good option? Just wondering if they'll take the unit back 8 days later.

Re: REMStar 60 Series....should I keep it
Ok, so a follow up.....
Anyone have any experience returning a CPAP to a DMR when going through insurance?
Is there a general opinion on what the go to machine is right now?
Thanks all!

Re: REMStar 60 Series....should I keep it
You guys really are awesome. So I'm looking at the bottom now. Would this be it? REMStar SE, DOM 220P? It looks just like this https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-sys ... chine.html
