Re: Strategies for second night - help!
I find putting a tennis ball in my underwear helps keep me off my back, although sometimes I defeat it.

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
I'm at Min EPAP 9 Max 12 Min IPAP 11 Max 14 PS min 2 PS max 4. I guess I want to see how I deal with pressure increase and how it effects my Centrals.

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
Not sure what you mean pressure is fixed? That means my pressure will always be IPAP 17 and EPAP 12? Or is there a min that my machine will start at? If PS is 4? pressure SUPPORT (ps) is fixed on the vpap line... the respironics have a minps and maxps setting, the resmeds simply have a ps setting. ...

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
Should I try these new settings they are prescribing on my PRS1? Sure. I don't see any reason not to at least try them. PS setting on the VPAP is fixed and won't vary so if you are using a PS minimum and maximum setting on the BiPap Auto you will need the PS minimum and maximum to equal each other ...

Re: Does SleepyHead work with Resmed AirCurve 10?
Be sure you have the 0.9.8-1 version. Links in my signature line if you need it. Let us know your results. I think 0.9.8-1 works with at least some of the AirCurve machines. Yes, that is the version I'm using, it will just merge my data with this new machine? I'm really nervous about the change in ...

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
Scratching my head here...the AirCurve VAuto is like the S9 VPAP Auto and the PR S1 Bipap Auto. Could have got the same settings on the Bipap Auto. Hi Pugsy so I took your advise and changed my EPAP min last night to 9. Actually had a better night, did notice that the Centrals usually follow a peri...

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
just received my Titration and Prescription, it's calling for a new machine: Resmed Aircurve 10 VAuto, IPAP max 17 EPEP min 12 PS of 4, can someone explain just a little. And won't that make my Centrals worse? Heres another Central dominated night:

Does SleepyHead work with Resmed AirCurve 10?
Yes, they gave me a new prescription for this machine: Resmed Aircurve 10 VAuto, with settings of IPAP max 17 and EPAP min 12. I'm not sure what these pressures are goping to do to my CA. Also does this machine allow me to user SleepyHead?

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
So your suggestion would be to increase my Max IPAP and EPAP the same amount? Actually since you are already in auto mode with a higher IPAP being available if needed all I would change if it were me would be EPAP minimum and leave all other settings the same. By default if you increase the EPAP mi...

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
Do you wake often during the night or do you feel you go to bed and go to sleep and rarely wake during the night? Ugly report and it sounds like this one is one of the "better" ones. Even without the centrals it's ugly and screams sub optimal therapy. Do they all so show much activity in terms of t...

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
So I saw a different sleep Dr today, didn't get much time, so my questions had to be brief. I asked him about my significant rise in CA events since starting therapy. He told me that a lot of Central Apnea is not scored on your sleep test because they are a response to your transition to arousal or...

Re: Leak rate with my Quattro FFM question??
Still not quite sure how to interpret leak rate properly on SH software. Last night with my Quattro FFM first time wearing my Padacheek mask liner is this leak rate acceptable? 95% of the time my leak rate is 4.0 which is good correct? Still hunting for my optimum mask setup. Felt like I had a good...

Last night with my Quattro FFM first time wearing my Padacheek mask liner is this leak rate acceptable? 95% of the time my leak rate is 4.0 which is good correct? But now my total leak rate 95% says 50.00 which appears over the...

Re: Saw a different DR today, his intrpretation of high CA Index
He told me that a lot of Central Apnea is not scored on your sleep test because they are a response to your transition to arousal or waking, has anyone else heard this? search for 'swj' or 'sleep/wake junk' OK will do, thanks. And thanks for educating me about the leak rate vs total leak rate in SH...
