Affordable CPAP Cleaner
Hello all, I am thinking about buying one of those CPAP cleaners. I don't have a lot of money to spend and I have some questions. I have read all those reviews but I would rather hear from folks on this forum. First, do they really work? Second, I see them priced from $40 to over $300. I would rathe...

Re: Basic starting of SleepyHead on Win10?
I downloaded and installed the current version over my old version on windows 10. It installed fine and kept the data from the old version that was previously downloaded.

Re: Nasal Air Prong mask with headgear
Thanks Pugsy for the info. I will just have to wait and see. I have been on CPAP since 2010, have tried a lot of masks and am on my second machine. My resperonics machine died after 4 years and I ended up with a ResMed S9 Elite which I like better as it will give me the information on the screen I n...

Re: Substitute for Nyr gel
Thanks for the suggestion Chunky Frog! I think I have some of that very item. If I do I will give it a shot tonight. I use the Ayr for two purposes. 1. to sooth the nose when it gets irritated and 2 to give a better seal. I used it for the first time in a while last night and had the lowest AHI I ha...

Substitute for Nyr gel
Does anyone know of a suitable substitute for Nyr nose gel that works just as well? Nyr is a little pricey. I thought of using vaseline but it gets sticky. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Nasal Air Prong mask with headgear
Thanks to all who have contributed their knowledge to my questions. I will be getting the Nasal Aire Prong mask next month and will give it a try and after about a week I will post how it works for me. If there are problems I will come back to my Airfit P10 with large pillows. It is doing what it is...

Re: Nasal Air Prong mask with headgear
Over the past several nights I have noted that when I download my date and look at the pie chart I seem to have over or in some cases all of the chart showing OA yet my AHI's are all well below 5 and in most cases are below 2. Am I missing something here? Also, is there a way to upload files (charts...

Re: Nasal Air Prong mask with headgear
I assume by your equipment list (mask) that the one you suggest is a full face mask. I tried the full face a few years ago and hated it. I like to read at night and anything but the nasal pillow masks make reading a problem as I have to wear glasses. Out of all the masks I have tried (and I have tri...

Nasal Air Prong mask with headgear
Hello All----Has anyone used the above mask and if so, how well do you like it? I am thinking of giving it a try and would like some input from users before I do so. Are the prongs inside the nasal passages troublesome or comfortable? I turn from side to side during the night and was also wondering ...

Re: Plastic and Ball Pressure Checker
Again, thanks for the inputs. As long as my AHI stays at 2 or below I am not going to worry much. I will download the data from the card about once a week just to get a better idea of what is actually going on. I have noticed that since my last sleep study a few weeks ago and changing the pressure f...

Re: Plastic and Ball Pressure Checker
Thanks Grayghost4 for the info and photo. This morning I looked on the screen showing the stastics and even though my machine is set for a pressure of 15 I only used 12.5 overnight and my AHI was 0.9. I am quite happy with these results.

Re: Plastic and Ball Pressure Checker
Thanks again for all your information. I just pulled the SD card out of my machine and inported the data into Sleepyhead. For the past week, except for one night, my AHI has been .58 to 1.75 I downloaded the clinical manual and will check it our later today. Again, thanks to all for your help. May a...
