Re: Airfit N20 issues

I just got my N20 and I like it for the results I am getting, but the leaks are large. I do have to tape over the bridge of my nose to keep the air out of my eyes, but I don't like having to tape my mouth....my cheeks puff up and I hear noises that wake me. But if I don't tape, then my mouth wants t...

Re: RuthArt Therapy Thread

Yes, I had watched that video carefully...that's why I'm struggling...I think getting the clicks in is a big problem for me. But I don't think there were leaks until the pressure went up to 13? I'll keep at it until my 2 weeks of ports are gone. Night of March 3, I started out with the Bleep, I thou...

Re: RuthArt Therapy Thread

New mask - AirFit N20, tech says it won't leak....it leaks!! And now I snore during the leaking. But my hours on the machine are good and the AHI is awesome..but the snoring wakes me up. That's as disruptive as OA and CA (except I am breathing at least!!) Oh Pugsy.... I just bought the Bleep Dreampo...

Re: Was I having a great dream?Edited:Frustration

I've gone back through the posts and I don't see anywhere that Pugsy mentioned me getting a different machine. When I was first on this Resmed in November, I was doing really well, then all of a sudden the mask was leaking and I was having many OSA and CA events. I want to be strong and get through ...

Re: Was I having a great dream?Edited:Frustration

since it was only an hour with mask on, I was probably awake and that thing going on in my throat was really bothering me, and the burping...do I now have that dreaded Aerophagia? I'm so totally depressed I fear for my life because I am having visions of doing my self harm!! I don't want to live lik...

Re: Was I having a great dream?Edited:Frustration

now I have something happening in my throat, I can feel it just below my larynx and I burp to try to get rid of it. I was only able to keep the mask on for an hour, because the leaking started and I couldn't get it stopped. AHI 25 just for that....and of course, my trend on MyAir shows going down, t...

Re: Edited post: Frustration

I haven't been able to use my mask for a while now, leaks, uncomfortable. I was able to get someone from Apria to send me some masks to try: 1. (Dreamwear FFM, the holes seemed small and I couldn't get enough air through them, then a lot of leaks around the bottom and sides), 2. (AirFit with memory ...

Re: Was I having a great dream?

thanks, I'll take the plunge and set to 20. (and somehow, I have to stay off my back but
it's the most comfortable position for me.)

Re: Was I having a great dream?

but with all that pressure, I was still having OA, and I was taking some breaths in between, does that mean my pressure is not high enough to stop them? my settings are 6-18 my sleep contact at Kaiser only looks at the AHI and says I'm doing fine, but I will be looking for someone else at the beginn...

RuthArt Therapy Thread

This is from last week and I just realized that I was not breathing during one of these events for 68 seconds, with pressure at 17? It took 9 minutes for me to wake up through all these events....I wish I could remember what I was dreaming about, it must have been awesome. And once I woke up and had...

Re: need to sleep supine when I get hip replacement...

sounds like I will have to get a wedge for sleeping on my back
and perhaps a cervical collar. Or learn to sleep on right side only.
Surgery not until March, so I have time to prepare.
Thanks

Re: need to sleep supine when I get hip replacement...

Thank you all. Here is a report from last night 11/23/19 It has looked pretty much the same for the last 3 nights, I wake up to a lot of pressure, when I turn the machine off, I notice that I was on my back (not propped up in any way) and the pressure was 17. (my therapy pressures are 6-18) I notice...

need to sleep supine when I get hip replacement...

but sleeping supine gives me the most events. The pressure also gets so high (17+), I have to turn
the machine off and restart.
It will be most important to get good quality sleep in order to heal too.
Any idea of what I can do?

thank you

Re: CPAP and dry cough

I'm surprised that you have a cough. I had a cough for months then started APAP and it went away overnight. I'm so thankful
that it takes care of the problem.
