Re: Feel like I can't breathe
I'm a relative newbie too (6 weeks) and thanks to all the informed forum members here realized I needed to quickly change from the Nuance pillows to the Airfit P10 also. Made a HUGE difference to my overall sleep! Hope this one works for you too! [emoji2]

Re: Congestion & Dryness
Thanks Julie! Turned down humidity last night and slept well. Will see if decreased sneeziness happens today and will check in with insurance.

Re: Congestion & Dryness
Sorry to jump on this thread (it does relate) but the "new topic" function does not work for me on the updated mobile app. Been on cpap for about 5 weeks now and experiencing major sneezing episodes and stuffiness. My house is generally quite dry and I've been comfortable at humidity lvl 3 or 4. But...

Re: AHI #
For my own info on Friday had AHI of 1.3 one of the best #'s yet for me. I'm balancing this with how I feel and yesterday felt very energetic and coming out of this mental fog I wasn't even sure was happening! Onwards and upwards! [emoji2]

Re: AHI #
Blackspinner-agreed on chasing the number! To be honest, I am improving day by day particularly with the P10 pillows. Now, I have to work on the extra weight that kept piling on while I was undiagnosed but I feel my energy and memory returning slowly. Happy with that Pugsy-yes, my Mask # on Sleepmap...

AHI #
Using the P10 nasal pillow mask, good fit, successful nights (increasing my time using), able to fall asleep quickly. Now my next newbie question is that my AHI consistently shows in the 2.3-2.8 range. Is this okay, being under the magic "5", or could it be better? Should I be looking at a higher pr...

Re: Pros/Cons-Nuance Gel/Airfit P 10 Nasal Pillows
Thanks englandsf I will be sure to watch out! Don't have the same issue with the nose hairs but does help to have all the info! [emoji1] Second night with P10 and have to say kept falling asleep before could get mask on. Around 2:30 I could finally reach over, get the mask on in no time, seat the pi...

Re: Pros/Cons-Nuance Gel/Airfit P 10 Nasal Pillows
OkyDoky good to know! These things always seem to get me too probably because I'm tired anyway! I will remember that for the future [emoji1] Success last night! I jumped on here to say woke up about 20 minutes ago with the P10 mask still on! Got about 8 hours by my estimation. This is my first night...

Re: Pros/Cons-Nuance Gel/Airfit P 10 Nasal Pillows
Thanks for the input everyone! Pugsy, I appreciate the info on the nasal mask. It is good to know there is an option that could be workable. I do occasionally have congestion issues (private school director-surrounded by the germs!) in the winter so wonder if a nasal mask would be helpful if/when th...

Re: Pros/Cons-Nuance Gel/Airfit P 10 Nasal Pillows
Thank you everyone for your responses so far. I am completely in agreement that there is not a one size fits all solution but hearing about everyone's experiences and what their preferences are certainly helps! Pugsy, I am with you on the minimal items on my face. But then many people would agree i'...

Pros/Cons-Nuance Gel/Airfit P 10 Nasal Pillows
Pros/Cons list would be helpful from the knowledgeable board!
I know everyone is different with what works for them but would appreciate some thoughts.
Thanks in advance!

Re: National Geographic "Sleepless in America"
My thoughts: too long on explaining why sleep is important, not long enough on sleep issues (in each segment), disappointed in the "only overweight people get apnea" and the way they came to the determination of this was a study of truckers and other shift type workers, not enough sampling from a cr...

Re: Nasal Pillows Seal
On occasion, I wake with one or both pillows "cockeyed", and I need to reseat them to breathe well. I tried the next size up, but that was too large. Maybe if they made half sizes. . . . (That would be way too easy) Half sizes?? Now that would be a plus! How about a molding taken for each individua...

Re: Bloody nose
I would also go with ChicagoGranny on the hydration issue. I am someone who was notoriously bad about hydration and it causes all sorts of issues when I am not properly hydrated, like irritation in the nose. After a recent trip to Colorado for a week I suddenly needed to pick up the hydration (ie. w...
