I think I saw on my paperwork after I had the test that medicare didn't cover the PSA test, right? Or am I thinking of something else?
Anyway, I had it and the results were good. Friend of mine just had to have his softball-size prostate removed and is now suffering from all the side effects.

No, that solution works fine too. And I doubt you'll notice the small bump it makes. Some people have sewn on a small velcro loop cable tie which allows it to be adjusted. Make sure you try the washing in hot water trick, though, as that is often enough for most people. And then be careful when putt...

Re: Have to wait 3 months for a sleep study - what to do?
Sleep labs keep a waiting list because it's not unusual for people to cancel their appointment at the last minute. You can ask to be put on the waiting list to be called if there is a cancellation. Most sleep labs have them, so they may also be available in the UK. When someone cancels, they start g...

I tried the swift fx but the flexible part under nose didn't work well for me and I kept getting leaks. The P10 has worked well for me because it has a hard plastic piece under the pillows.
And I think the AirFit P10 is the best mask that I have tried yet. But we are all different...

All cpap masks are vented. They have to be! Otherwise they would be unusable.

Not related to the strap issue, but I need to clean out the mesh every month or so. Water pic or denture tablet. Easiest way to clear the mesh. For us computer types, soaking in some Dawn and water and then blowing out the mesh with a can of compressed air works well too. The holes are soooo tiny t...

Read the airline's terms and conditions VERY carefully. Unless you are in first or business class, it is VERY unlikely that you will be allowed to plug in a cpap. Please note that aircraft in-seat electrical power is available on a limited number of aircraft, and there is no guarantee that the in-se...

Re: Donating Old CPAP
You need to have a backup machine and keeping your old machine when it is replaced is an excellent way to do it. Machines fail or develop problems and it usually take weeks or even months to get the necessary approval and repairs or replacement. Zip that old machine up in its bag and stick it in the...

You don't want it - it's a fixed pressure cpap with no data. Always go for the autoset with full data and compatible with SleepyHead.

Re: Is there any reason NOT to be on "auto?"
To get back to the original question, yes there are reasons to fine tune the auto settings. Once you know what pressures you typically need, it often works best to raise the minimum to that pressure. Why? Because the machines are designed to make changes gradually so as to not disturb the sleeper. D...

Get yourself a hose hanger - it helps tremendously with hose management. If you want to try a cheap one, there is this one that I use: https://www.amazon.com/North-American-Healthcare-JB5651-Holder/dp/B0034CHMRU Posting some data as described in the top section of the forum will allow people to give...

Re: SoClean Check Valve Problem
Sorry, but the SoClean doesn't "disinfect" - it can't. It just pushes ozone through the equipment, the smell of which makes some people think it has been disinfected. If you look, you can find many reports, including one just a few days ago, of the SoClean degrading and ruining the cushions of a cpa...

They spend a lot of money advertising this thing on infomercials, especially late at night. It's no wonder that lots of people fall for it.
