Re: AirFit FFM moves too much, replacement suggestions?
I use the airfit F10 and my dme initally set me up with a medium, when my sinuses act up and I cough at night it would gradually slip upwards until the bottom of it fell in my mouth. I went up a size to the large and it works better, the top of it sets in the low spot where the bridge of your nose m...

Re: Blowing Cold Air...even when heat is on
I have the heated hose and use the climate control, and even when set on 86 (highest setting) the air in the mask is cool, not warm. My house gets to maybe 66 at night, if its a cool night, the hose will be noticibly warm, but the air itself will feel cool (not cold) and damp

Re: How do I find out if insurance has a "capped" rental plan ?
yep, for the package my DME provided (Resmed S9 Elite, H5i humidifier, Climateline hose, and Airfit F10 ffm) they billed my insurance somewhere around $2200, thru the hosting website (cpap.com) the same stuff is (or was last time I checked) somewhere around $1100, buying thru Amazon.com you can save...

check your settings, you may have the EPR turned on, or too high, when I turned mine on it will pulse near the end of a long exhale

Re: Full Face Mask with Beard
I had a full beard, slightly shorter than the beard in your avatar, when I first started cpap therapy slightly over a month ago, was having issues getting the mask to seal (Resmed Mirage Quattro/Medium) on the 4th or 5th night (no significant issues the first few nights) and got up and shaved comple...

Re: AHI changed dramatically
IMO in a large portion of the people who suffer Obstructive Apnea, it is directly contributed to by being severely overweight. 66 lbs is a huge amount of weight to lose for the average overweight person. think about it like this, if you are 260lbs and lose 66lbs you have lost right at 25% of your bo...

Re: myapnea dot org
the DME apparently has a policy of locking the machines, which basicly lets you see no sleep data on the machine itself and only allows you to turn the machine on/off, turn the ramp on/off and adjust the temp (humidity) that lasted about 5 minutes from the time I got home Far be it from me to defen...

I think the only thing that will help improve the patient's health is for doctors and dme reps to stop thinking patient's are stupid and think of them as being ignorant and try to educateinstead of dictate. In my situation, if I had been educated by the dr out dme I wouldn't be a year and some mont...

Re: The resmed airfit F10 full face mask
I have had the Airfit F10 for a few weeks now, and the only issue I have with it is when I cough in my sleep my mouth opens enough that the bottom of the mask tends to want to slip into my mouth. To be fair I feel like this would be an issue with any FFM. I came from a week of the Mirage Quattro, wh...

I never pre-warm the tank. My steps are the same everytime I lie down. Fill tank Turn off all sounds (phone except ringer) and all alerts Phone on charger While still sitting up on the edge of the bed, put my mask on and adjust Lie down and breath normally Fall asleep. if I adjust while sitting up,...

Re: S9 change
....so after 15,660 hrs, my trusty S8Autoset has been replaced w/ the S9auto. Second night of use, random thoughts/questions: Setup: Auto 12.4-15 cm Certainly not as convenient to set up each night as the S8..... but I will get over it. Climateline hose: I'm used to the Aussie heated hose. When it ...

Re: How do I get a new mask without prescription?
Amazon sells the masks in 2 pieces (mask and headgear seperatly) so you dont need an RX. Unless the "trial period" is a manufacturer policy (like with ResMed), most vendors (both online and B&M) charge extra for "return insurance". The masks I have looked at on amazon do state returns have to be mad...
