Re: Upper/mid back pain

I did the full face mask awhile...had to pull the lower strap alittle tighter to get it to seal up right....within a few days I had burning pains between shoulder blades and sometimes running down arm. Went to a nasal and has improved. Sounds strange a small flexable strap a little lower on the nec...

Re: No help whatsoever

I think on that machine you dial it to settings ( which will take you to some minor settings if you push the big button) To get to the main menu...dial it to settings...then you press the big and small button down at the same time....for say 10 to 15 seconds and it will beep and take you to the main...

Re: Leak advice

Those leak numbers and that leak line are VERY acceptable. Well within acceptable range. For your machine at your pressure and your mask...large leak territory is going to be up somewhere between 80 and 90 L/min and you never came close to it. That red line....that's for a ResMed S9 machine and not...

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f144/Franky6767/leaksadvice_zpsaf3aa3bb.png \ Are these leak numbers exceptable or too high? Switched to nasal mask and chin strap but don't know if I'm loosing too much air or what. Seem like I get kinda dry mouth alittle.....but nothing crazy. Just want to make s...

Still learning..... headgear pain.

Well I started back on cpap a few weeks ago. Shortly after I started to develop extreme pain between my shoulder blades (burning knotted up and pain radiating into my right arm. Got worse and worse. I'm taking BAD last few days. I couldn't figure it out. Tried a mediflow pillow...and they are nice b...

Re: First night with a CPAP... please tell me it gets better!

Ya it will get better. Alot of things honestly come from attitude if you ask me. You get it in your head...this sucks....won't work out...I can't handle this crazy thing doing this crazy way or that....then you likely won't get there. Its just different..... thats all....try to keep a good attitude ...

Fixed pressure help

I started back on auto cpap awhile back. I think my body might respond better to a fixed pressure....still very tired all the time with good AHI numbers. What numbers would one use to make a close as possible guess based off of sleepyhead pressure data ? minium pressure, med pressure, 95% or max? Wh...

Re: How to properly clean the mask

I don't know about anyone else, but I use baby shampoo. Just a small amount (one pump) on a natural sea sponge. Wash thoroughly and rinse in warm water 2-3 times then air dry. I also use baby shampoo to wash my face before bed. Also rinsing 2-3 times and pat dry with microfiber towel. There may be ...

Re: Question about at home test for sleep apnea

Franky, At that time, what pressures were you successful using? As for cost of sleep studies, what the sleep lab charges and what the insurance companies pay are vastly different. My two nights, based on what the sleep lab billed came to $8,400. Insurance paid something like $1,500. I didn't have t...

Re: Question about at home test for sleep apnea

I did a home sleep study. Its not a complex or a big hassle. Just wear the thing and turn it back in. I was honestly expecting them to really help me set the machine up.....pressure settings and the works......well the way mine went was this. They called me in for first appointment.... talked to me....
