Re: ResMed f30i full face mask

Just to add my praise for the F30i, I always had a red stripe on my nose when I used a full-face mask. The hybrid worked just great. I also went to a wide large for best results.

Hi Mike, for dryness in your mouth, some people get help from Xylimelts, which are small discs that attach to your teeth or gums and stimulate the production of saliva throughout the night.
Thanks for the suggestion. If this water drinking I'm doing today doesn't help, I will give it a try!

Re: AirSense 10, Dry and Running out of Water

Those leak numbers are small and unlikely to have caused so much water consumption. Leaks need to be really pretty large (like over 30 L/min and prolonged) to make much of an impact on the amount of water used. Most likely your culprit is going to be the ambient humidity whatever it is. I know that...

Re: AirSense 10, Dry and Running out of Water

So test the ambient humidity and see what it is with the humidifier added. 3 things affect water consumption Ambient humidity Pressure used Leaks...meaning excessive. Mouth feeling dry isn't always fixable with maximum humidity which you have found out and also found out that you run out of water d...

Re: AirSense 10, Dry and Running out of Water

What is the ambient humidity in your bedroom? What is your pressure setting? What are your leak numbers? Thanks. It's dry in this house. I do run a humidifier during the night. My pressure setting is 16. I haven't checked the specific number, but my Cpap machine does not show a leak warning. Are yo...

AirSense 10, Dry and Running out of Water

Hey friends, Things feel really dry in my mask throughout the night, so I set the humidity at the highest level for my machine (8) and I have the heated tube at 81 percent. The problem is that it still feels dry and the reservoir runs out of water after about five hours. I wake up and have to turn t...

Re: new member looking for advice from Onatario,Canada

Before you go the DIY route, could you let us know more about the results of the test? In particular, what was the breakdown of the events you had? (Obstructive apneas, hypopneas, central apneas, respiratory-effort-related arousals [RERAs].) good point! A word about the DIY route and full face mask...

Re: I've tried 2 full face masks so far

If you don't mind, what was the problem with the F30i mask? I know people had difficulties with the F30 but many more like the F30i. I could not get a good seal around my nose. The medium was just a little too narrow, and I had trouble getting the holes in the mask to align properly with my nose. T...

Re: I've tried 2 full face masks so far

You can print out a size guide, but I didn't find it very helpful. I ordered the mask with the medium cushion from cpap.com, the ordered a different size cushion on ebay where it was cheaper. I couldn't make either size cushion work for me, and I ended up giving the mask to someone who could use it...

Re: I've tried 2 full face masks so far

I currently (try to) use a size Large AirFitf20 FF mask. I want to try an AirFit F30i mask. Would I order a "wide" cushion or "medium" cushion, or is that something that can only be known by trying them out?

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Joint Suddenly Leaking, Mask Now Itching

How many FF masks have you really tried out - lying down (important as your face changes a lot then... not so vital for nasal mask) or even looked at on Cpap.com who shows various angles, graphics, reviews, etc? Some of us went through quite a few at the start before finding 'the' right one(s). Tha...

Re: Joint Suddenly Leaking, Mask Now Itching

"Wish you had asked for help sooner - but at least you did it now. Overtightening (and to the extent you apparently did) is always counterproductive - doesn't allow the silicone to inflate as needed - the mask should 'hover' - and certainly doesn't help therapeutically." I would like help with the i...

Re: Which is the best mask?

Wilson to Wilson : There is no "perfect" mask, we all have different likes and dislikes and of course different shape heads and face structure. What is almost perfect for one is not for the next one . I started with the Quattro and then fell in love with nasal pillows, but I still have an F10 for w...

Re: Which is the best mask?

The velcro on my old full mask has worn down , and now I'm shopping for a new rig. Here are what I'm considering: Mirage Quattro AirTouch F20 AirFit F20 Which is best for higher pressure, non-leaking sleep comfort? Thanks, Mike Why don't you just buy some more sets of headgear? (if your current mas...
