Re: New OSA patient - Some questions
Hi and welcome, you'll get lots of support and advice here. I'm relatively new to CPAP and the best I can suggest is just to stick with it and the results will come. Anything under a 5 AHI is considered normal, and what matters is how you feel. Have you tried 'Nasal Pillows' as these are less intrus...

Re: Pros/Cons-Nuance Gel/Airfit P 10 Nasal Pillows
I really like the P10 but seem to get leaks after about 4 hours of sleep, then rearrange and all is well. The Nuance Gel is not quite as comfortable but less prone to mid sleep leaks for me. I'm now trying the F&P Pilairo which seems to be more stable but more cover. Like Pugsy says its each to his ...

Re: ? For the battery powered gurus
For low weight and safety you might want to look at LiFeP04 batteries. They are safer and lighter than LIPO batteries. Arch is right about cut off and overcharging safety. The beauty of LIPO's is that they can discharge a very high amperage very quickly in short bursts. I use 22,000mah batteries on ...

Re: ? For the battery powered gurus
Hi My advice is do not use Lithium Polymer Batteries in your home on a medical device, or anywhere for that matter. LIPO batteries are very dangerous if used incorrectly and can easily catch fire if punctured or over charged. I use LIPO (lithium polymer) on my remote UAV and they need very careful c...

Sleepyhead and naps, help please
Hi I recently , yesterday actually, I had an afternoon nap with APAP in place. My question is, how do I delete the time I spent napping from sleepyhead, as the data from the nap is skewing all the data from the nights sleep. I was trying out a new nasal mask so I really was hoping for that data not ...

Re: What's the best way to dry out hose using a 2nd machine??
If you are really keen on drying out your hose and mask, there is a company in the suppliers list that sells a 'Hurricane' dryer that has a hose attachment place

Re: HELP!
When I went to the ENT for the fist time he asked me about acid reflux, which really surprised me. I had been waking up sometimes with a mouth full of stomach acid etc, and just put it down to eating late at night. Since being on APAP there hasn't been a hint of reflux, again an eye opener as to the...

After reading the comments here, I was prepared to sign up and have a look at the general feel of the forum. BUT. When I went to do the sleep survey on their opening page, I was told I had to sign up first. I'll not be spending time or any mental energy on them and will be sticking with the wonderfu...

Thumbs up to Secondwind, I bought my back up from them, an open box deal.
Very happy with the service and advice, and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Re: Is SleepyHead Essential?
Sleepyhead is a fantastic tool, but like any tool you have to use it properly Im currently doing a little side study on the two pillow masks I use. P10 and Nuance gel. Im alternating between the 2 and recording which one I use on sleepyhead and also the leaks or lack of during the night. Once I get ...

Re: Need some help selecting Autotitrating CPAP machine & accys.
I'm relatively new to CPAP, and went for the Resmed A10 Autoset, and am very happy with my decision. Masks are a whole different ball game and that really depends on whether you can breathe easily through your nose, and I would go for nasal pillows if your an 'active sleeper'. After trying a few I'v...
