Re: trying to learn to read Sleepyhead data. Please help.
So this is a pretty typical night using my auto setting machine. I feel better when I awake than I have in a long time. Is there any tweaking I could do to make it better? Just not sure on what data is relevant to what as far as adjusting my machine. I am having another sleep study tomorrow night, ...

Re: How accurate does a remstar 60 series calculate AHI?
Thanks again for all of the input. I guess the biggest thing I am worried about is having enough happen so they do the titration part of the study. I feel so much better using the machine.... Just don't want to "Self medicate" Just want enough to show up so they prescribe me a machine and set up the...

How accurate does a remstar 60 series calculate AHI?
Do these auto setting machines accurately calculate AHI? Just curious as I am trying to read my sleep study report from last month and it shows lower numbers without cpap than with it. (I never got to the titration part of the study because I took too long to fall asleep. test started at 10 and I ha...

Re: Very Upset Over Most Recent Sleep Study
I had a similar study completed about a month ago and have mixed reviews about the results. I got an apt with a sleep specialist and he ordered another sleep study that I will be doing next week. I understand your frustration. Be persistent and talk to your Dr. about it. Also contact your insurance ...

Saw the Sleep Dr. Yesterday.....
Had a good appointment with my new sleep doc yesterday. He did a check over of me and determined that I have a small airway and based on my Epworth sleepiness scale set me up for a sleep study. (I'm not surprised and I had hoped he would.) For a little added background My primary care doc sent me fo...

I don't remember the exact mask but it uses just the nasal pillows. The 90% pressure is 9.

Will using a cpap prior to a sleep study alter the results?
Good morning to you all. I have what might be an odd question. Let me give you some background first. I haven't slept good in years. I fall asleep sitting in my chair watching TV all of the time, in movies, heck, I fell asleep during an Aerosmith concert. (And I love Aerosmith.) My wife was recently...
