Re: Just got the diagnosis...

I too am new. I've been on the machine for a week now. You've got an advantage I didn't have: you found this site BEFORE getting your machine! Read everything you can BEFORE going in for your mask fitting. Especially read the new CPAP user info at the top of the screen here. I didn't know what to as...

Re: Me again. At what point do I start looking to make changes?

The sleep study was an in-home study. In hindsight, I wish I had known enough to do one in a sleep center. The data you folks that did them in a sleep center have is far superior to what I have. So I have no data as to what position I was in when anything happened. Also, my baseline titration seems ...

Re: Me again. At what point do I start looking to make changes?

Okay, last night I know I was awake from shortly after 3:00 AM until I finally got up and went to the bathroom at about 3:30. Around the CA clusters I don't *think* I was awake. In the sleep study I only had one central. On the machine I have had (starting with last Monday) 48, 29,11, 22,7,13, 1, an...

Re: Me again. At what point do I start looking to make changes?

Started at 48.8.

Is there a sticky with instructions for posting the detailed reports? Which graphs or info should I post?

Me again. At what point do I start looking to make changes?

I've been on the machine for 7 nights now. I understand that at first my results may be all over the board. My AHI has ranged from 11.7 to 1.54. Most nights it's in the 9 range, only twice below 5. At what point should I expect the numbers to stabilize (if ever), and when should I start thinking abo...

Night 6. Trying to understand AHI numbers

Last night was my best night so far. Untreated AHI was 48.8, most nights last week were in the 10 range, last night was 1.54. Over the week my OA numbers have fallen pretty steadily, and last night it was ZERO!!! Most of my events are hypopneas. So, what does this mean? Will my numbers continue to c...

Re: RESMED S9 AUTOSET CPAP Forsale $500

Yeah... My 7 year old was sitting right next to me when I clicked on it. My response was "WHOAAA!". Luckily he too was playing Minecraft, but my response prompted him to say "What was it? Can I see?"

New mask, new settings?

First off, thanks to all of you. this place is a wealth of knowledge. Without it, I'm not sure how I'd feel about all this. anyways, I have a new mask being delivered today. I paid cash out of pocket, because the insurance company or the DME (not sure which) will only give me a new one once every 90...

I do have the software.

Thanks for the link to the fitting blog. That looks like it may help a LOT.

Re: Need advice on mask comfort

I don't know enough to know if I like the mask or not. It's perfectly comfortable when I fall asleep, no major leaks or anything, but not comfortable at all by morning. I am a mouth breather, so I need full-face. It was the only full-face that felt decent. I asked about trying out other masks, and w...
