Re: Same AHI at low and high pressures

Thanks Pugsy - My AHI from my original sleep study where I was diagnosed was ~10 (so not horrible). I was just one cluster of a heap of hypopneas. The lowest O2 level was 95% - average of 97%. During the study I remember the tech coming in and putting the tube thingy back in my nose as it had come lo...

Re: Same AHI at low and high pressures

Thanks for the reply kteague. Looking at my graphs - It appears that the leaks were caused by the high pressure as they didn't start till after the pressure got so high. I have slept for 5 nights now with the same low AHI at a pressure of 4. My data had some common patterns - there was some peaks in...

Same AHI at low and high pressures

Hi All, so I am a bit confused. I am new to CPAP, I've been using it for about a month now. My prescription was for 6-16 to then see how that went and possibly narrow down on a single pressure (I'm currently hiring a machine, and it is much cheaper to buy a straight CPAP here, however I'm thinking I...

Re: Newbie - Help me interpret Mild/Mod Diagnosis from Sleep Doc

Thanks - here are some screenshots from sleepyhead including the couple of nights I had the leakage issues - it looks like the mask started leaking after the pressure went right up high. I haven't noticed any leaking issues at the normal pressures. I don't currently use a ramp but find the 6 mm min ...

Re: Newbie - Help me interpret Mild/Mod Diagnosis from Sleep Doc

Thanks for the replys - I suppose I wasn't really understanding how he could say I was moderate but then also say I didn't really need treatment, but then write a letter to my doc saying I'm mild. I haven't really had any improvement from treatment, but from everything I've read it can take ages to ...

Newbie - Help me interpret Mild/Mod Diagnosis from Sleep Doc

Hi All, I'm new to sleep apnea and the site, I have been getting confusing messages - When I first got my sleep study result I was told by the registrar (junior doc) that there was nothing wrong with my sleep study, then the senior doc came in and said I had mild/moderate sleep apnea and that I shou...
