Re: How should I find my appropriate pressure setting?
Thanks, 49er. Not to worry, I appreciate your response regardless. I will certainly look into UARS as well. Interestingly, I feel like I have a nasal/sinus obstruction of some sort as well, but so far my ENT has given me the all clear. I have only been using the CPAP for a few weeks now, but have no...

Re: How should I find my appropriate pressure setting?
Ryan, with an UARs like profile and a possibility of not being able to get sleepyhead to work with your machine (forgot what was decided in previous posts about it), you may have to go by more on how you feel. If you tried 6 for a week and didn't notice anything, I would give 8 a shot for a week an...

Re: How should I find my appropriate pressure setting?
Why are you using Cpap if you don't have apnea? If your doctor hasn't found what IS wrong, find another doctor, but don't use machinery to treat what's not broken - that's silly and potentially dangerous, not to mention expensive. Until I have better insurance, I don't have much of a choice of doct...

Re: How should I find my appropriate pressure setting?
I just wanted to clarify is your machine on auto with a high and low pressure or is it on straight cpap with one pressure? the latter, i believe. when i had my sleep study done, i had an AHi of 5.7 and RDI of 28. I had a titration study and the lab tech said i didn't need to bother using the CPAP m...

How should I find my appropriate pressure setting?
My machine (remstar c-flex) doesn't have a digital readout. Right now I'm at 6.0 psi based on a suggestion I found on a website based on my age, weight and the circumference of my neck. How do I know if this is the appropriate setting for me aside from trial and error? So far I've been using the mac...

Re: Replacement straps for Remstar pro 2 nasal pillow?
It depends on which mask model as to which back strap you are talking about. Example...the Swift FX nasal pillow mask has a back strap but it's hard to find just the back strap without the silicone headgear. You might look on EBay for just a back strap. I looked the other day (for Swift FX) and cou...

Re: Replacement straps for Remstar pro 2 nasal pillow?
Post a pic or check cpap.com if you're dead set on buying identical headgear. Otherwise it doesn't matter. It's about comfort. Craigslist will probably also have cpap headgear and masks. I only need the replacement strap, if that's even possible. The nasal pillow itself etc is all fine. Just the st...

Replacement straps for Remstar pro 2 nasal pillow?
I'm using my friend's old Remstar pro2 C-flex with nasal pillow headgear and the straps broke. I'm not sure at all the model of the nasal pillows. Can you guys possibly recommend me a replacement strap so that I can resume using the machine? Thanks.

Re: OSA and soreness
Hi - you need to re-evaluate your bed (memory foam is turning out to NOT be the end-all for everyone) and see a doctor to rule out any cervical or other issues you have. OSA does not cause orthopedic problems. Hey Julie. I can't afford new bedding right now . I will try to sleep on the floor and se...

OSA and soreness
Is general body soreness considered a symptom of untreated OSA? Aside from general daytime sleepiness and headache, soreness, specially in my back, is my most persistent symptom. I have a memory foam mattress top and I sleep on my side, so I don't think my positioning could be causing the problem. I...

Re: New User Questions
First, The air rushing out of the small holes on the top of the mask, opposite of the nasal pillow insertion points, can be quite loud. I have still been able to fall asleep with the mask, but it can be a little annoying. Is this normal, or is it an air leak? Probably what you are seeing would be t...

New User Questions
Hi guys. Thank you so much for your help so far. This forum is incredibly invaluable and I'm so glad I found it. I'm using an old Remstar pro2 c-flex model with a nasal pillow mask that I got from my friend. It's been two nights. I have a few questions. First, The air rushing out of the small holes ...

Re: remstar pro 2 c-flex---issues setting up hose?
When I go to plug in the breathing hose, it seems like the hose is too large for the port. I can get it to stay in there and there isn't any noticeable air leak when the machine is on, but the slightest of movements to the hose will pull the attachment from the port. Am I just doing this wrong? Am ...
