Re: Results are tanking
Any chance that the recent series of bad results are being caused by a seasonal cold trying to make inroads on your overall health? I see changes in my results when my body is fighting off early symptoms of a cold. When the cold finally hits me, I can see the changes building in my sleepyhead data....

Re: Results are tanking
I do agree that you cannot count on your DME provider doing the best thing for your care and also agree that a good sleep doctor would be nice to have. In my case I have my GP that referred me for the study and have to date never seen the actual sleep doctor. I had to argue to get the original testi...

Re: Results are tanking
Things started off so well and now I have had reports like this for several nights in a row. you need more pressure to deal with those clusters of obstructives. either bump the set pressure to 13, or, as nick suggests, let the auto functions of the machine earn it's keep. do you know where to get t...

Re: Results are tanking
Your signature and the Sleepyhead software show that you have an autoset machine. Sleepyhead says it is currently running in CPAP mode with a pressure of 12cm. It is possible to run that machine in autoset mode and set the minimum pressure to just a little bit below 12 cm (say, 11?) and the maximum...

Re: Need Pillow Recommendations
I started using a buckwheat pillow a while back and it works great at keeping the mask from being pushed around. Be aware though that it is quite firm.

Re: Results are tanking
Things are great most of the night. There are 3 or 4 major clusters - any idea what is going on then? Sleeping on your back? Maybe REM sleep? Have you tried turning on auto mode just to see what the machine wants to do during those times? Maybe setting it to 11 - 14? Have not tried any of that. And...

Re: Newbie with a few questions
I've been on the machine for about a month now and I still struggle with fit. Some nights I have no issues but most nights I have leaks that wake me. I just ordered a large vs a medium to try out. As everyone is saying it takes a while to get used to. One complaint my wife has for sure about the Fis...

Re: Apria and credit cards
They pushed me for a credit card to keep on file. I told them no, they pushed a little harder and I pushed back. They eventually gave up and we moved forward without a credit card on file.

Re: New Day in Sleep Medicine?
Wish I could say the same for my experience. Mine consisted of 2 night at a so called lab then a phone call on where to pick up my cpap. The gave me and another man instructions about the machine at the same time and sent us on our way. I reached out to my GP (referring Dr.) looking for my sleep stu...

Re: Data report
Thanks for the feedback. Last night (did not pull data yet) was the worst I have had, I got so frustrated with leaks that I yanked the mask off and tossed it in the corner and then remembered the cost of it all and couldn't go back to sleep until I could get it back on. GRRRR!!! Anyway. Great info o...

Data report
Ok, here is data from my 22nd day on the cpap.
I feet like this was my best night on the machine based on me not waking up 5 or 6 times messing with the mask and leaks.
Thoughts from you pros at this?

I'm really new at this but found the sleephead program very user friendly. Lots of info in that report.

Thanks for all of the help. I was able to understand it at least a little.
