We heat with wood so dust is a problem. I swap out filters monthly and you can see they do get dirty...

...as an aside. The filters seem hardy enough to compress air clean then wash mildly....but I dunno.

I imagine folks with clean electric heat go quite awhile between filter changes.

My machine once cranked up gives me chipmunk cheeks and sometimes I wake up with my mouth open and very dry. I dont mind the dry mouth cause i still feel well rested but am wondering about the therape...

That's what my puppet masters at the VA advised that I do too...it hasn't been off since I got it.
