Re: Which is more comfortable - chin strap or full face mask?
I found the same as you, thought I wasn't a mouth breather until I woke up with a dry mouth and major leaks ... I now sleep with the Seatec Chin Strap. I didn't have any problem getting used to the chinstrap, and I actually find that the mask is sitting better with it on. ( I have very long shiny ha...

Re: Sleeping with mask during hot weather :(
Could you use a room dehumidifier along with you AC to help. no real need once ac is running, it's only my face that is sweating from mask. Most masks will work with liners. For many people a liner is the only way to wear a mask due to their skin reacting to being sealed in. Just try it. cool, I wi...

Re: Sleeping with mask during hot weather :(

The wet weather has not yet started and the humidity is still building up, so my problem will only become worse. Weightloss and pressure changes.
In the last 1,5 month I have lost 8,5 kg ((go me!!) I'm wondering if this would effect the pressure needed for therapy. I never been a mouth breather but in the last 2 weeks where I lost 4 kg I noticed the machine started to complain about leakage and this has never happened before. Bought a chinstr...

Re: Hospital visits and CPAP
PTS what you said is so interesting, specially since dr's always complain that i am so hard to wake up after surgery. I will ensure to tell them about the sleep apnea! My last operation i actually opted for having a screw removed under local anaesthesia, surgeons didn't like it, as they usually put ...

Re: Hospital visits and CPAP
I'm having all the hardware removed from my ankle had a BAD tib/fib fracture last year, had nothing but problems with ankle/foot since I'm unsure if they will do it during under day surgery or if it will involve over night stay. Also wondering over different pain medications impact on sleep apnea.

Newbie in Need of help to understand report
Need help to read my report, my sleep technician said " you got severe sleep apnea and this is what we are going to do about it" and that was as far as understanding the charts went. So anybody out there who can explain further and I would be grateful http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w293/rpenndra...

Mood effected from CPAP therapy.
Dunno if this has happened to anybody else when started CPAP treatment. I have now been using the machine each night as clockwork since I started 10 nights ago. For women PCOS and OSA
Extremely interesting reading for those with PCOS and OSA, I wish I would have known this 15 yrs ago when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I spoke to my GP yesterday she had not heard about the correlation between these two. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3030192/
