Another expert who has been immensely helpful suggested trying the PS max at 8 to give the machine more flexibility. I'm going to try that as well. Fun to learn a new machine.

I had the same experience when I started using my P10s. I thought "there's no way I'll ever adjust to it." I added lanisoh and that helped a little, but still had soreness. I have cervical issues and the P10 nasal mask / headgear in my signature is very comfortable.

It did take me a solid 2 weeks to get used to the feeling of the pillows in my nose, but after that fairly tough adjustment period they worked great. Your experience may vary, but I'm glad I stuck with it.

You have an auto machine...do you have it set to CPAP mode with a fixed pressure or do you have it set in a range and you are adjusting the lower number?
