Re: Can't go in to Stage 3&4 using Cpap
Wondering if anyone else has this problem? I have similar problems. I can't tell what stages of sleep I reach. I know that I'm still not getting the quality and amount of sleep that I need. Am I giving up too soon? Yes. In 8 months I have tried three machines and countless masks. I now have a mask ...

Re: Please help interpret sleepyhead report
I can't read the report very well. Too many graphs that are unneeded making the graphs too tiny for my tired old eyes. Sorry about that. I used a high screen resolutions for the screen capture. I'll upload a image that's easier to read with just the graphs you need. http://i1379.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Please help interpret sleepyhead report
This actually looks pretty good. You may want to increase your minimum pressure a bit (the machine has to go a long way to get from 4 to 10 - 10 seems to be the pressure necessary to handle the events you are having). Pressure drops to 4 if the SensAwake feature detects that I'm awake. Looking at t...

Please help interpret sleepyhead report
Here is a screenshot of a Daily report from sleepyhead. I'm not sure what to make of it. The AHI and Leak Rate numbers all look OK to me, but I wonder about the Mask Pressure.

Re: No motivation to continue therapy
One other thing that no one has mentioned is aromatherapy. I've been trying the Pur Sleep products for the past week, and I'm able to relax and fall asleep a little faster. [..] Thanks for the suggestion; it may help someone else. My partner is extremely sensitive to fragrances and volatile organic...

Re: No motivation to continue therapy
I appreciate all the helpful responses. Thanks everyone. I'm still unclear about not seeing any tangible improvements. Are there other people who also do not notice any benefits of treatment?

Re: No motivation to continue therapy
Might also take a look at your bed pillow and mask combination. I'm about to start with a new mask. I have a CPAPmax CPAP Pillow. I sleep on my side, and the pillow seems to leave enough space for the mask. Perhaps the height is an issue. Your large leak number to avoid is 60 L/min. [...] How far a...

Re: No motivation to continue therapy
Here are some thoughts. Perhaps the Oracle oral mask would help. One member here found that this eliminated his claustrophobia. The mask is almost not there. I find it extremely tolerable. I had not seen that one yet. Thanks for the tip. The second thought is that the Hozer hose management device s...

Re: No motivation to continue therapy
It's so important that we look at some data, even if only from your screen, though you could DL SleepyHead free on the forum, then using Photobucket for screen shots of the printouts, provide a link in this thread to the pix. I hadn't realized Sleepyhead works with my F&P Icon. Trying it now. You m...

Re: No motivation to continue therapy
Could your headaches be from the straps on you mask? Unlikely. The tech I spoke to today suggested that they were too loose. Se did think the air was too dry and that the headaches are caused by dried out cavities. I use a non-medicated nasal rinse (saline solution). Will try raising humidity as sh...

Re: No motivation to continue therapy
However your heart and other organs are benefiting. And sometimes we are so damaged it takes up to a year to repair that damage. I've been thinking about that. Is there any way for me to quantify that somehow? Is it possible that I've had the condition for a very long time, and I'm just so used to ...

No motivation to continue therapy
I'm new to the forum. Apologies if this is a topic that has been covered. I've looked for relevant threads but didn't find anything. I've been diagnosed with "severe" OSA in January and have been using a machine since February. I have never known I had OSA until I was diagnosed. I had not experience...
