Re: Bridge of Nose Irritation

I'm on a full face Why? Not trying to be flip but many of us start off with one mask from the study and within a few weeks find something way more comfortable. I started with the resmed F10 and it was difficult to not have air leaks. Wound up with the P10 (nasal pillow) with the help of some good p...

Re: sinus drainage in daytime

I've been diagnosed as having a sinus infection and I'm wondering if it has something to do with the cpap machine.

Have you checked with a Dr. to see if you may have a sinus infection?

To the long time posters....have you seen post relating sinus infections to cpap usage?

Re: Problem sleeping on side with the aloha nasal pillow

My machine is an auto CPAP. The doctor originally wanted me to have a BiPAP but because of difficulties with the sleep study we weren't able to demonstrate that a BIPAP was needed, so we're trying the CPAP first with an option to upgrade within a 90 day period. I did try a BIPAP in a previous sleep...

Re: Problem sleeping on side with the aloha nasal pillow

jpek Those pressures you mentioned. Are you on auto, fixed bipap or autobipap? Reason I'm asking is that the sleep study people originally had me on a fixed bipap of 10 and 16....which prevented me from using a nasal pillow mask. When I learned how these well intentioned misinformed people often get...

Cut the medium....not the large.

Re: Question about P10 using medium versus large pillows

Hmmmmm...... Any suggestions as for cutting a medium to make inhale/exhale more like a large? Jim, what are your pressure settings, and are you using the ramp feature? I guessing your sense of restriction probably occurs early, and ramp will contribute to the sense of not getting enough flow, as wi...

Re: Air fit p 10

So after suggestions from this forum I went from a swift fx and swift fx nano to today's new mask being a air fit p10 . One noticing everyone difference seems to be Nare size..on my swift fx masks I wore a m ., this air fit seems that the s works better . Just wondering if I was the only one who ha...

Question about P10 using medium versus large pillows

Even though the mediums fit better, it seems that I breath better with the large pillows. Its very much like the mediums cause some restriction in exhaling and some strangeness in rhythm during inhale.

I'm sticking with the large pillows but am curious if anyone else experienced something similar.

Re: Mask question: Airfit F10 Full Face Mask

I am thinking of trying the ResMed Airfit F10 Full Face Mask, because I have seen several postings that say it works well with a (reasonable) beard. I sleep on my side a lot, and I wonder if the upper plastic arms of the mask, that attach to the headgear, wouldn't push the mask to the side and brea...

Re: side sleeping

I had the same problem with the F10. I think it has to do with the plastic sides being more prone to being moved. With the P10, I don't have this problem and am able to use regular pillows as long as I sleep on the edge of them. I might change over to another kind of pillow as using regular pillows ...

Re: Need suggestion for a nasal mask

I'd also want to put a plug in for the P10. Something that you don't seen mentioned is the very minimalistic headgear. You can sleep on the side of your face and not be moving your mask around as you would with a mask that had rigid plastic pieces that go up the side of your face. The P10 is also ve...

Re: Cpap Mask and facial distortion

I do wake up sometimes with puffy eyes, but I think it is only if my mask was a bit too tight. But the thing I have noticed more is that my facial skin seems to be aging much more quickly--lots of tiny wrinkles. I just turned 67, but I think I'm starting to look like my 80 year old friends! What i ...

Re: Full Belly

New doc says that auto titration mode is used on only 1% of his patients for exact reason that did not work for me (even prior to the surgery). The system does not learn from prior nights and recalibrates based on your sleep disturbances (each of which is a waking occurance). Your doctor is an idio...
