I do not have pain but I feel like when you change elevation and need to have your ears "pop". And this did not start until about a week or so after starting on apap.

I am 34 but think I have had for many years. In high school was in fairly good shape, worked out and all that for football and was restricted from playing because of high b.p. Also I can't remember if any supporting data but in JEMS (Journal of Emergency Medical Services) a paramedic that has sleep ...

I have seen people freak and was wondering if could be the same responce. Or maybe the fact they were going into a burning building. The things we do and call fun. MelMel I guess partial credit. But you know chics dig firemen, that how I lured in my wife. Chris I will give you full credit, sorry Mel...

I just had to chime in on this after reading so many post about DMEs. I am getting my equipment through a local company. I live in a small town so they the only one. They have been the only ones to seem to care if I get this done in a timely manner. The sleep clinic and doctor did not get back to my...

Any firefighters out there?

As you can tell by my name what I do for a living and I am also on volunteer fire department in western Nebraska. Here is my point, after reading a thread with mention of ( I know I am going to butcher spelling) claustiphobia, I can not help but think of when I first started firefighting and putting...

As most have said get as much knowledge about what ever you have been diagnosed with. My wife actually was able to prove a doctor wrong. After figuring out I had OSA I read as much as I could, posts and net. After my sleep study I researched machines and went to the DME and told them what I wanted, ...

I know that I went to the darkside and am getting my machine from a DME. I went into the DME office and told them what I wanted and that is what they are getting me (auto with cflex ). You need to read post and do some research on the net and become informed. I look at it this way, this is your heal...

I too think that I have had this for years. I am 34 and as far back as I can remember I have snored and it just kept getting worse. It is so bad that I have slept in a different room than my wife for about six months. While in high school I played football and my junior year at my physical my blood ...

After reading the posts and I have talked to many people that I run into that have been using cpap , and they say it has changed their lives, that I can not wait to get mine to start sleeping. I found this forum right after my sleep study and started reading and the people that had problems in the b...

I have been away for a couple of days and found this thread interesting. I agree that I have not read any post that people think that being overweight does not add to OSA but from what I have read and talked to a relative that is a Dr. losing weight will not get rid of OSA. Losing weight will make i...

When I went to the Dr. for my sleep apnea she found out that I have diabetes and had to quit drinking regular soda. I had about four regular sodas a day and she said that would be equivilant to gaining about 10 lbs. a year. I started drinking Diet Rite, which is sugar free (sweetened with Splenda), ...

Now I don't need any "what were you thinking" comments on this. I actully have tried snorestop, and guess what it did not work. I do not have any personal experience with a cpap or humidifier but the sleep tech at my sleep study also has apnea and he said that he has not had any problems with allergies or colds since he started treatment with a humidifier. And the area that I live in is cold and flu central.
