It does get better. One of the things my DME encouraged me to do was to put on the mask and use the machine for short periods of time while I was awake to get used to the way it feels. +1 for pulling your hair through the lower strap. I also had problems with mask leaks when I started CPAP therapy recently. I either braid my hair or put it in a low ponytail at bedtime and then put the lower strap below the braid or ponytail. That helped significantly to reduce the leakage.

I'm new here, too, fj40cruzrdude. My doctor's office, where the sleep clinic is located, had quite a few masks available for their patients to try.
