Re: Need suggestion for a nasal mask
Wisp nasal mask might be a good alternative for you. It is the mask I started with before switching to P10 (because I slept better with less face pressure and headgear). At least for me, though, the Wisp never caused skin irritation and it has a great, barely noticeable venting system like the P10. ...

Re: AHI of 5 and disappointed
Pugsy - I know what you mean about Wellbutrin - sometimes it's a little too "energizing" . In my case though, I don't think it's responsible for any of my sleep problems - had them before I started taking it. And it doesn't seem to make them any worse, as long as I take it early enough. It's such a...

Re: AHI of 5 and disappointed
I am not as expert on the subject as many others here, but based on my experience I would agree with the advice that you make sure your sleep study is being properly analyzed, and push to get another if necessary. I had my study in June and had a hypopnea/apnea AHI of 7, which by itself would be con...

Re: Need mask advice - Airfit P10 v. Swift FX
Thanks for the additional suggestions. I actually never really thought about it, but I have a pretty short philtrum - maybe that's why I feel the pressure a bit more from the Airfit P10 than some other people would. Theoretically, at least, the Tap Pap might work better for me for that reason. Probl...

Re: Need mask advice - Airfit P10 v. Swift FX
Thanks, Jen and Roger. I figured that the Swift FX would probably be heavier, since it is the previous generation to the Airfit P10. It may not solve my particular problem. Maybe I'll try the tape suggestion, and see if it works.

Need mask advice - Airfit P10 v. Swift FX
I'm new (relatively) to CPAP - started almost three months ago. I started out using the Wisp nasal mask and didn't have any major problems with it - fell asleep without much difficulty and had no leakage problems. I checked Sleepyhead readings regularly and my AHI was always less than 2.5, so from t...

Re: CPAP Mask Supplier in Manhattan
Hi - I'm new here, having just started CPAP two months ago. Since I live in Manhattan, I've done this search process, and there is only one place in Manhattan I know of that could supply a mask on the spot. It happens to be the Sleep Center I've used for my sleep studies - Sleep Disorders Institute....
