Re: SleepyHead "Summary Only :("
In my case, I bought another media card reader. I found a decent one on Amazon and everything works fine. It even imported the files that had failed to import completely with the bad reader.

Re: SleepyHead "Summary Only :("
I figured out what my problem was...
The darn media reader was failing and the import would time out before all of the larger files transferred. So, without those it didn't have all the required data to display.

Re: SleepyHead "Summary Only :("
are you sure the card was inserted properly last night? if there's no data files on the card with todays date, then there's nothing you can do. There are three files with last nights date, it always shows the date the night started on for me... And there is some date on SH, just nothing in the grap...

SleepyHead "Summary Only :("
I have a ResMed S9 VPAP Auto and each morning I take out the card and import the data to my PC. This has worked every morning, for the last few months, until this morning. When I imported the data, as I usually do, I get a screen that says "Summary Only ". What are the potential problems I might be ...

Re: Central Apneas, Cheyne Stokes and Periodic Breathing?
I asked a similar question below - my event charts look like yours - mostly CA's. Link below with some good information - I don't know enough to be able to decipher it yet. http://breathe.ersjournals.com/content/9/5/372.full Thank you! I have seen Complex SA mentioned before, it looks like a potent...

Central Apneas, Cheyne Stokes and Periodic Breathing?
I want to defer to some of the more experienced members... I have what looks like bouts of Central Apneas, Cheyne Stokes and Periodic Breathing. Most of my nights are under a 5 AHI and most of the events that I have are Clear Airway apneas. Occasionally my AHI is over or at least near 10. Here are a...

Re: Mouth Breathing?
I'm trying to teach myself to use nasal pillows because I have always (prior to therapy) been a mouth breather.
When my mouth opens the air almost howls out my mouth and it wakes me up. It is really noisy, at least to me...

I wish he could use the VA!Guest wrote:If he is a veteran he can get tested at the VA - they also provide some good equipment.
If not there is always Craigslist, you just have to be sharp enuff to know which models provide data and what a fair price is.

Re: Uninsured friend with Sleep Apnea?
Good. It would be virtually impossible if he was in denial and resisted this. I would say "proceed". Either an Auto or data-capable straight-pressure CPAP. Auto would offer more options, but it's not mandatory. Whatever he's comfortable with and can afford. Since you probably already have a prescri...

Re: Uninsured friend with Sleep Apnea?
Part of me thinks he should just find an inexpensive auto machine and let do what it can to help him. The issue I see is that he would never have a baseline diagnosis. What other choices does he have? I've never had a sleep study either, don't really care what my no machine apnea level was... craig...

Re: Uninsured friend with Sleep Apnea?
Before I did the sleep lab study, I did an ApneaLink home study. In my case it was free -- when my community hospital set up the sleep lab, the hospital auxiliary bought the ApneaLink device. They send it home with patients, and the only consumables are the plastic nasal tubes and some tape. The RT...

Re: Uninsured friend with Sleep Apnea?
Do you think this friend of yours would be WILLING to get involved with self-therapy? If he's not, there may not be much use in pursuing it. If he IS, then there are ways around the "system". Getting a decent, data-capable machine, comfortable mask and monitoring therapy with software would be the ...

Uninsured friend with Sleep Apnea?
We have a good friend of the family that lives in San Antonio, TX. We believe that he has severe Sleep Apnea based on what I have learned about myself. Here is the catch, he does not have insurance or the money to have a sleep study... He is to the point that he has unexplained heart issues and othe...
