Re: Are All DME's Bad?
I am new to this but mine is AMAZING! My nasal mask was driving me crazy and I dropped in today to see about maybe getting a full face mask- I must have tried on a dozen before I found one that worked...never got the feeling that she was annoyed and she never tried to hurry me. Said to come right ba...

Night 5 and a new mask
I had to bite the bullet and go try out full masks...between the nose spray and the nasal mask my nose was killing me. I did keep bumping up the humidity, best night was on 4 and last night I tried the highest setting, 5. I don't know when I took the mask off during the night but I did and woke up c...

Re: First Night with APAP
I will def. try upping the humidity tonight- I think the pain in my nose is a combo of irritation and dryness-will have to find some moisturizing saline. I have horrible allergies that often make it difficult to breath through my nose...meds make it possible. The full mask freaked me out...I have as...

Re: First Night with APAP
A setting of 2 for the humidifier is already pretty low. I would try increasing the humidity level in the air. What mask are you using? Machine? I thought all of that would show up like it does for everyone else after I added it to my profile and selected the option that would allow that info to be...

First Night with APAP
Let me start by saying that I don't plan to give up. I got the mask that I liked during the sleep study and I did not find myself uncomfortable-yet I kept waking up-a lot. I learned to appreciate the little "ramp" button and think I pushed it several times. During my sleep study the tech said that s...

Re: Nervous
Please realize that when you first start talking to the DME, they will likely only seem to be concerned with their paperwork. It is the nature of the beast. The local DME's I have had could never tell me about prices or money, the office DME did not do that. My dollar costs are more connected with ...

Re: Nervous
He is the guy that "relieves" the night staff and apparently his attitude it not limited to patients. I am no shrinking violet and he will not have a chance to speak to me that way again. In addition I mentioned him in the survey, to my techs (great techs) and plan to drop his name when I see the pu...

Re: Nervous
I do have sleep apnea and while she (the very nice tech) only had vague data she said that mine had to be moderate to severe for them to bring me back. She mentioned that she saw one instance of my O2 dropping to 84% but that she wasn't sure that was my lowest and that I spend a lot of time restless...

Nervous
I had my first sleep study Friday night, got a call first thing this morning from a rather brusk man telling me that I needed to come back for a 2nd. I only had the study done because it is a prerequisite for Lap Band surgery and was stunned when I got the call this morning. The guy from the clinic ...
