Re: cpap makes me feel worse
not happy, one really good thing is to be able to keep a sense of humor in all this. You know, even for those of us who are doing really well on this therapy, we have an occasional crappy night. There are enough of us here that on any random day there are at least a couple of us who had a bad night ...

Re: Way to access what dme sees wirelessly
...like the dme does via myAir. Like some secret website or code or something. Surely there is a way to access it other than having to use the SD card. Thanks. I have a airsense autoset 10 Not so secret -- unless your DME expropriated the Resmed materials that came with your machine. MyAir is at ht...

Re: CPAP with an alarm that notifies you if you take it off?
Anybody got an alarm for when you carefully strap the mask on your face and then go to sleep without actually attaching the hose to the mask? I've done this twice now.
I suppose there's no cure for stupid... sigh

Re: Running out of water during sleep
Awhile back somebody posted pictures of an ugly jury-rigged setup that involved drilling holes in your water tank and feeding in a hose and siphoning water into the tank from a larger container throughout the night. This is a serious design flaw. The humidifier tanks should hold several days worth o...

Re: Downloaded data into sleepyhead in another time zone
I'm scared by the following message on rebuild: Are you sure you want to rebuild all CPAP data for the following machine: ResMed AutoSet 37028 (22141371252) Please note, that this could result in loss of graph data if SleepyHead's internal backups have been disabled or interfered with in any way. I ...

Overnight train, riding coach, any recommendations?
Next weekend I'm traveling with my daughter on a college visit, and both ways it's going to be an overnight train trip in coach. Any hints? I'm planning to bring a multi-outlet extension cord, so that I can say to the other train passengers, "If you let me plug my cord in then I can plug in my CPAP ...

Downloaded data into sleepyhead in another time zone
I was in Eastern time zone last weekend, and on Sunday morning I downloaded the data on my card into Sleepyhead. Poked around a little, everything was fine. Then, a few minutes ago, back at home in Central time, I loaded data again. Ok, now all of my graphs up until Saturday night have two sets of l...

Re: For Sale: Brand New Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her $650
This would fall into the billing for unnecessary services realm of healthcare fraud. If you didn't use the CPAP at all, obviously you didn't need it, thus it was an unneccessary service that your insurance was billed for. Insurance companies have time spans when new equipment is covered, but almost...

I'm surprised there aren't a slew of novelty/themed masks like that. Then again, maybe we're all too tired to care about them! Forget fighter pilot -- I'm holding out for Darth Vader! Or the Dr Who character I use as my avatar... I lost a bunch of weight over the past year, and one of the completel...

Re: any suggestions for power outages.
If you are dealing with just short power outages in a residential setting you may be able to use a computer uninterruptible power supply (UPS)--the larger and heavier they are, the longer they will provide power during an outage. Has anyone found a UPS without an alarm? If I were to put any of my b...

Re: Urgent help before appointment in the morning please!
but for some reason on some days it merges two days into one and leaves on day blank. I have no idea why. I have searched to try to find an answer but so far come up with nothing. This is the Mac version and I'm not sure if it's as advanced as the Windows version? I could try it on my fiancee's win...

Re: Is there something screwy with ResMed flow limitations?
Ah, yes, that makes sense. Having watched the video, what confuses me is that my breathing never ever looks anything like that smooth even sine wave. Here's a closeup of that hypopnea. http://i.imgur.com/aXHvfJb.png I see that characteristic shape, but I'm still not sure that I'm really getting this...

Re: Mouth Popping Open (at the end of my rope)
Just a friendly suggestion, but if you want to get a Santa gig, you should NOT wear this getup at the interview?
(On the other hand, if you want a Facebook meme that goes viral, you are all set to create a kids-terrified-of-santa slideshow...)

Is there something screwy with ResMed flow limitations?
Ok, I've been puzzled about the flow limitation data being reported from my A10. Here's a little sample, of a cluster I had last Monday: http://i.imgur.com/Oyuvgxs.png So looking at the Flow Limitation graph aligned with the Flow Rate graph, there is the hypopnea, which is aligned with a rise in the...
