I've got a car battery on a charger that I could wire up, but I don't have the right connector. My first plan is to go to bed without it, but I'm skeptical that I would be able to sleep well. I guess I'm hooked. Been on CPAP since last June.

Re: Best place to buy supplies.
I just ordered some replacement mask and hose parts on Amazon. The prices were a bit better, and some of the shipping was free. Unfortunately, the items were not all shipped from one seller. I have a huge dedictable and would just as soon save a few bucks and bypass the insurance. Of course if ibact...

Re: compare WISP and Swift FX masks
I use a swift fx and it works pretty well for me, but I have a couple issues. The vent is on the end of the hose where it connects to the mask. If it swivels around to any position other than vertical, I get a breeze on my lips, which I find uncomfortable. Anyone else have this issue? The other issu...

Re: Nasal pillows are hurting me bigtime
I had a little trouble with this for the first week or so too. In the morning I applied a little antibiotic ointment with pain reliever for a few days. Either I got used to it, or the mask softened up or loosened a little in time, but it was very painful for a while.

Re: How to stop mouth opening, to use nasal pillows effectively?
With persistance, over a period of a few weeks, I seemed to learn to keep my going up where there is no leaking into my mouth. It woke me up many times a night for a while, but not much any more. Either it stays closed or I close it again without really waking up. Chin strap did mostly nothing for m...

Re: Newbie with questions about REMstar Auto with A-Flex
I had lots of issues with air leaking from my mouth for a week or so, but I think I learned to keep my toungue planted on the roof of my mouth to prevent it. I think it still happens a little but no longer wake up to deal with it. It's pretty annoying, but maybe it will solve itself over time.

Re: sleepmapper not updating
Oooh! I'll check that out. I'm not quite sure I picked the right machine in my profile. It does say 560 on the label on the bottom. There's a letter too, maybe E, I don't remember exactly. Thanks!

sleepmapper not updating
I would like to check my AHI in the morning. My machine has a cellular modem, and sometimes I can see the data on an iPod using sleepmapper. There's a button on the side of the modem to dial in and upload the data on command. The problem is, frequently the data wont show up on the iPod. I can pull t...

Re: Is your FINAL CPAP machine better than the tester?
Hang in there a while longer! The ride will improve! I use a nasal pillow mask, which was pretty easy to fit, and usually doesn't leak unless it gets shifted out of my nose. I had some initial mouth leakage issues, but with a week or two of persistense I either learned to keep my mouth closed or clo...
