Re: New to Site But Not To Diagnosis...DESPERATE!!!
I'm so glad you were able to get a machine! I just wanted to let you know that the only time I'm able to sleep decent is if I'm in a chair or recliner that I can let my head fall back in such a manner that my air way stays open. It's terrible for my legs and hands when I'm in an office type chair, b...

Been 3 yrs since Posting, but a resolution finally!
I went back and forth with the company that provided me with my machine and they never got it, when I became hypoxic my machine ramps up to 20 where my mask begins to leak and it cannot detect that I'm breathing. I don't know how many times I tried to tell them that, but they wouldn't hear that the ...

Finding my Sleepyhead Data Very interesting!
I'm a newby, but I'm finding my Sleepyhead data very interesting and helping me to understand the need, but I'm not really sleeping any longer. I also see why it was so difficult for the Doctors to diagnose my problems, a very complex set of issues. One night, my snore index is high, another it's ob...

Re: I think my machine is Defective, provider does not.
When you wake choking like that you can always push the ramp button to bring it back down to 5 so you don't feel suffocated. That is exactly what the RT told me to do, but the size of the machine, plus my clock, plus my lamp, I can't get the machine close enough to the bed to reach the ramp button....

Re: I think my machine is Defective, provider does not.
You all have been great help. I have gotten the data downloaded and looked at the high pressure events. I have looked up the meaning of the various events, but am a ways from understanding how it all interacts. At least one of those days had a number of things going on at the same time--I'm guessing...

Re: I think my machine is Defective, provider does not.
It is programmed as I said, the ramp goes from 5 to 5 (my range is 5 to 15, 5 is my start pressure and 15 is my max.). I know what the ramp intent is, but that is how they programmed it and I cannot change it, those parts are locked. I asked for data for the first 2 weeks and I got analyzed data, so...

Re: I think my machine is Defective, provider does not.
I have a Respironics REMstar A Flex with humidifier and SleepMapper. What part of that should I include in my signature? From the beginning my flex has been set to 3. I have a feeling that my machine is doing that ramp to 25 cm but Doc has it programmed for 15 max and 5 min with ramp at flat 5. Does...

I think my machine is Defective, provider does not.
4 of 14 days, I have woken up with the machine shooting so much air that I cannot exhale! I start feeling like I'm suffocating and finally rip my mask off. I was told by the provider RT that it was exactly what is supposed to happen, I'm just not used to it. I could not get the RT to understand that...
