Re: headset affecting skull?
Thank you for the reply. As I had said, when I loosen the strap, the mask leaks. I found five pages of previous replies to this issue. It is a real concern but many of the replies were inappropriate and silly.

Re: headset affecting skull?
Thank you for the reply. I will try wide padding if I go back to this mask but will try another mask in the meantime. It does not go into the groves on my head. BTW, I found five pages of previous r replies to this issue.

headset affecting skull?
Hi everyone, This is a strange inquiry but I don't know whom else to ask. I am using Philips Respironics full face mask and have been since early this year. lately I have noticed an actual dent in my scull! I have osteoporosis and in order to not have leaks, the top has to be quite snug. I have no i...

Re: Central apnea diagnosis change
She did look at the data from the machine. She only said that the previous doctor did not give the previous machines a long enough trial. But I was having lots of apneas on them! I am 73 and my father died in his sleep at 76. I suspect he had sleep issues. We are fortunate to have these machines!

Re: Central apnea change in diagnosis
Thanks again , I am not on any heavy pain medications, the new doctor did not want the office notes. She just wanted what was going on now. I am doing well but don't know that would be so, without my ASV machine.
I don't think she had any reason to change my diagnosis, other than, perhaps, a bias.

Re: Central apnea change in diagnosis
Thank you all for the feedback. What the new doctor said was that the previous doctor had not tried me long enough on the other machines. This is from my sleep study: I was titrated to a high of ABPAP to a high of max IPAP 10, minEPAP 5, PS3 which due to pressure intolerance resulted in a CAI of 128...

Central apnea change in diagnosis
Hello everyone, My doctor retired and my new doctor changed my diagnosis from central, to obstructive sleep apnea, without any study. She does not seem to believe in use of Resmed 9 ASV machines, which I have used for the past six years. "Those machines are too expensive." Am I missing something? Ha...

Insurance change?
I now have BC/BS insurance. They no longer provide a new machine after five years unless the old one is no longer working. My machine is in to Res Med now to be checked out. I am interested in possibly changing to United Health Care. The issues is that Res Med is backed up and so I won't know if the...

Re: Mask ?
Thanks all for the replies. I have a loaner now, a ResMed aircurve 10. I have BC/BS and they won't replace my old (5 years+) ResMed unless they can't fix it, it's been making strange noises. I like the aircurve 10 but my nose skin is breaking down, so I need a new mask system My pressures go over 20...

Mask ?
Hello,
I have central sleep apnea and need a full face mask that does not go on the bridge of my nose. I need pretty high pressures, at times. The F30 was recommended. Have any of you used it? Any other suggestions?
I use a Resmed machine. Thankk you.
