Thanks for the information and terrific figure, Snoredog. I thought you might know something about this topic. Sounds like the airflow sensor in the M-series will compensate for leaks up to a point, depending upon the treatment pressure and size of leak. So, if I take the positive correlations serio...

Flow - Pressure Question
I'm trying to gain a better understanding of the relationship between mask leaks and treatment pressure. I use CL2 with a RemStar M-Series APAP treatment around 9-10 cm/H2O. The CL2 mask is rated with a normal flow of about 30 liters per minute (LPM) at this pressure. Of course, I don't get a 30 LPM...

1. I'd appreciate better descriptive statistics. Min, max, mean, and SD would be very helpful. Easy enough to do. I'll have to think how I might do that in the UI. I don't want to over crowd each chart with too much info. I think putting that on each chart would be too much? The descriptive stats c...

This messge constitutes topic and scope creep, but is it reasonable to have a user-entered field that tracked mask type used, and maybe one or more charts such as AHI by mask? I realize this would mean writing to the database, which may not be a good thing, or adding another instance of SQL Server,...

H cwsanfor - I'm glad you started this thread. Just this week I went back to trying the Activa mask. The first night was fine, but I gave up after a few hours on the second night with the same symptoms you described. I just couldn't get enough air. I have tried the Activa on two different occasions ...

I would think it's more likely it is something you are doing wrong, as it works correctly for most people. Hi Jim, I too have the same problems as reported by others who are using MyEncore Ver. 1.5B7 and EncorePro 1.6i. I have looked carefully at the SQL database. The data are there. The range sett...

cchase, Are you using MyEncore? Length of apneas and a whole lot of other stuff is available from it. Den Hi Den- I think Wulfman is right; I've only been able to find an average apnea figure in the table of statistics of the EncorePro. I've also been using Derek's MyEncore 1.5B7 program with Encor...

Hi halbert- My experience is similar to byront. When I first start treatment at night, my respirations are long and deep and the machine's blower adjustment with c-flex creates a louder response. When I wake up in the morning, my breathing is more regular and shallow and the machine is whisper quiet...

okay, we're still listening..........any other comments? Thanks. Hi Respironics Guest- I've enjoyed my M-Series Auto and EncorePro software very much. I purchased the system to do my own titration study and look for patterns between how I feel in the morning and my CPAP data. I need to do this on m...

cchase - have you had any humidifier issues as I have mentioned? How do you like your machine and mask setup? Hi byront - No humidifier issues; I do need to pay attention to the room temperature when I set the humidifier. One night when the room temp was in the 60's, I set the humidifier to '4' got...

Hi byront - I have the same setup with Remstar Auto M-seris and the CL2 mask. I too wondered about pressure leakage when I started treatment a month ago. In the instructions that came with the mask is a small graph that plots pressure on the X-axis and External Leak Rate on the Y-axis. Two lines are...

Re: changing pressure on remstar plus m series c-flex
Any help in how to adjust the pressure in this unit. I am a new user and would like to have the option to make minor pressure changes as needed. Thanks Hi crusader - You unplug the machine, then hold down the left and right buttons simultaneously while plugging the machine's power supply. When the ...
