Re: Did You Train Yourself Not to Mouth Breath? How?
I just realized I've been doing this, probably throughout my short time using cpap, just never realized it. I use nasal pillows and can even find myself waking with my mouth open just slightly but no air rushing because of my tongue being against the roof of my mouth.

Re: Quick question on mask leak
Also find out how long you've got with your supplier for mask exchanges. I've found the "give it a week or more" was eating into my 30 days time limit so I kept pushing to switch out sooner rather than later.

Re: New here - Going for 1st Sleep Study in 3 days
The only thing I can recommend is, if your doctors allow it, to get a sleep aid "just in case" you need it. You don't have to use it, but know it's there just in case. I said no, I never have trouble falling asleep. I can sleep anywhere within 10-15 minutes of my head hitting the pillow. Even tent c...

Re: Bingo! Found my match on first try
Good deal! I wasn't allowed to try on masks so I had to go by "looks" - but it took me only 3 times to find the one that works great for me! I'll admit I still need afternoon coffee but it's not from being tired, it's more out of habit, and something to break up the monotony of my work afternoon

Re: Second sleep study, will they know if I drink?
Hey I saw your post over on Reddit as well Here's the thing for me - I don't have any issues going to sleep. I'll fall asleep within the first 10 minutes of my head hitting the pillow. It doesn't matter if I'm home, at family's, in a hotel, and even camping in a tent! Instant sleep! Cool, right? Exc...

Re: Wow - first night questions
I just picked up the AirFit N10 version (just goes over the nose) - maybe it's something with the way airfit's work, but I had to tighten mine down a little as well due to leaks. The first mask they had me on (well, I chose, but I've got to start somewhere) was the Eson - but that forehead piece is ...

Re: Still using an older APAP, but should I get a new one?
I've only got experience with the new machine I was given - ResMed S9 AutoSet and you don't hear it on at all. I showed it to my kids, sisters, etc - they're shocked they can't hear it run. I find it (in my *very* limited experience) very easy to care for, and to travel with even as mine came with a...
