Hi Den! Thanks, Pugsy.
Den, I had been regarding the PAP as an appliance the past year or so, but noticed my AHI creeping up lately. Thought I had better check out some trends. Take care.

Re: Where can I download Encore Pro 2?
Could I get a link to whatever version works on Windows 8.1, if any? Sleepyhead is working fine here, but I am curious about the latest Encore, Pro or Viewer. Thanks much.

Re: Where can I download Encore Pro 2?
I just upgraded my computer and need the link to Encore. It looks like Basic is favored around here, but if anyone could send me the links to Basic and Encore Pro 2, I would be most grateful.

Re: New PR S1 BiPAP Auto, dialing in lower AHI, etc.
I took tips from both Gumby and RestedGal, lowered my PS to 3, ran it two nights without looking at the data, noted that I felt much more energetic, and then found my AHI reduced from 0.8 to 0.3 (!). I'm done here with the xPAP Olympics/Apnea as a Hobby. Thanks all. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com...

Re: New PR S1 BiPAP Auto, dialing in lower AHI, etc.
Is there a reason you aren't happy with things the way they are? Consider trying a different mask? btw - which mask are you using? Gumby, I'm really happy with my current results, but I am a geek, and like to optimize things. I tend to spend some time fiddling with a new gadget, get it as optimal a...

New PR S1 BiPAP Auto, dialing in lower AHI, etc.
I just got a new PR S1 BiPAP Auto, and it is much improved over my late Remstar Tank. I'm getting a good AHI, about 0.8 over a week, but there are some events I'd like to minimize. I know that 0.8 AHI is good, and that this may be Sleep Apnea as a Hobby, as SAG/NotMuffy put it, but any constructive ...

Re: Problem reading card with PR S1 BiPAP
Thanks, Gumby, it was indeed a bad card. A new card works fine.
One more question: on the PR S1 Auto BiPAP, does a prescription written to the card get read by the machine when you power the BiPAP up with the card in, as was the case with the old Respironics CPAP/APAP/BiPAP's?
Thanks again.

Problem reading card with PR S1 BiPAP
I got a Phillips Respironics System One Auto BiPAP to replace my defunct Respironics BiPAP (Tank) yesterday, and when I try to read the data card, Encore Pro 2.4 freezes (the program window goes white and says "Not responding"). I wonder if: 1) It is a problem to have EP 1.8 and 2.4 installed at the...

This is an interesting result. I hope the resident gurus address the implications.

I did not have a prescription when I bought my SPO 7500 from a popular online vendor, but when I went to sell a spare one I had at cpapauction.com, at least one bidder emailed me and cpap.com complaining of not being able to bid on it because he had no prescription. I understand that the Goodmans ne...

When you get the 7500, please give us a "report" on how the deal went. $249 is about 1/2 what I paid Me too. I am curious if this is the first model that required you to tape the sensor to your finger. The newer model has a permanent rubber enclosure for the sensor, which attaches to your finger. I...

Well, bear1mdr, welcome to the forum! I don't usually engage in this sort of thing, and originally figured you for a troll, but you have hung in there, and so I figured it was worth replying. I got one out of curiosity and as an alternative for when I had nasal bridge trauma (which I haven't lately). It would actually seal, sort of to my uprise, but seemed to eliminate any automatic pressure changes on a Respironics BiPAP Auto. It's a fringe mask for sure, but if you are desperate or com...
