Re: how to get off xanax after 2 weeks on 0.5 mg
Myself being a methadone patient, therefore a former opiate addict, am prescribed clonazepam .5mg twice daily on a take as I need them basis for various anxiety issues. I have been on the benzodiazepine medication for about four years now, and do not feel any withdrawal symptoms at all when I skip d...

Re: Newly diagnosed CSA - waiting & what to do in meantime?
Yep, find a doctor that will help you out. Here in Canada, I had my sleep test about a week and a half after my doctor ordered it and my CPAP machine less than a month after that. Luckily for me, I live in Canada and didn't have to pay for a thing. But concerning the timing for your study, a helpful...

Re: your experience with medication and sleep apnea
I have similar issues as you. Except for that I do not have OCD. My depression and anxiety can be crippling at times. I am prescribed 0.5mg clonazepam twice daily, methotrimeprazine 50mg twice daily, and mirtazepine 45mg at night. The methotrimeprazine is a sedative that I use as a sleep aid as well...

Re: Does face washing help FFM fit and reduce leaks?
Another vote for washing my face right before bed. I use lava hand soap; yes the soap with the pumice. I get my hands lathered up then scrub my face. I use the same technique for my mask. Removes the oils and rinses clean. Actually, the pumice in your soap may speed up the wear on your rubber seale...

Re: Why are there so many Young People with Sleep Apnea?
Ok well I suppose we all just put the tonsil theory to rest as it appears some have, like myself, their tonsils still and yet others don't so its likely other reasons but I just never knew until reading this forum at how young some were and then reading about the connection to possible SIDs Canadia...

Re: Why are there so many Young People with Sleep Apnea?
Actually, I'm fairly young compared to most of the other people I know who have sleep apnea. I am a healthy 25 years old. Unfortunately for me, my Complex Sleep Apnea was caused by my opiate addiction which started when I was 16 and I finally kicked it at the age of 21 with the help of methadone. In...
