Re: Flow not responding quickly enough
Good discussion. I learned something. I went back and looked at SH and Oscar charts back in time. I never really noticed it before that the pressure increased just after an apnea ended and that the now I know that the brain was doing the job of breaking up an apnea. The machine obviously continues i...

Re: Flow not responding quickly enough
Thanks. I just switched from the Airsense 10 which was 8 years old. I can't remember when I had this long an OA in quite a while.

Flow not responding quickly enough
I have a new Autosense 11 that I have only been using for a few days. I have been tweaking the settings by looking at my Oscar data daily. Last night I noticed a 38 second OA with zero leaks from mask. My therapy pressure is set 10-15. The machine responded with increasing pressure only at the end o...

Re: Six Months To Get Used To Wearing A Mask And Six Months To Respond Positively To Therapy..
I can relate. Back in 2014 when I started therapy, it took me 100 days before I began to stop looking like warmed over death. I eventually got used to the hose and mask and became unaware of wearing it, unless I am aroused by a leak.

Re: New APAP machine with Oscar
Complete new device setup and imported data from first sleep session with clean SD card. Oscar read data and updated APAP equipment correctly. Oscar smart.

New APAP machine with Oscar
Next week I will start using RM Autoset 11 and semi-retire my Autoset 10 for a spare. I will continue to use Oscar with new machine. 1. Do I continue on with new machine using the SD card I was using in the Autoset 10? 2. Is there anything special I need to do with Oscar settings, profile, etc. ? Th...

Re: Giving thanks to Mark for SH
Yep. Up early due to work. Live on CST and work on EST therefore I lose an hour in the morning. I look at SH everyday to learn. I have been diagnosed with OSA only 1 1/2 years. Still learning a little I guess.

Re: Giving thanks to Mark for SH
Think about it CPAP'ers. What is the first thing you do in the morning after grabbing a cup of coffee? Yea, I know, you plug in your SD card and load your sleep data into SH. I can tell you that a day doesn't go by for me to do this at 4:45 am here in Alabama. Sleepyhead has never failed me. After t...

Pugsy, I wouldn't worry about hijacking any thread around here. From what I have been able to gather since I have been participating in this board, you are highly respected and one of the most knowledgeable gifts to this ongoing CPAP conversation.

Re: Ambien Lunesta ? -- For those who ,take it hightly
Thanks for the heads up on melatonin Pugsy. I researched around and you a right. It has been working for me, SO FAR, without any noticeable side effects. This will not translate to everyone. Now what? What to do now. Go back to my ambien?

Re: Ambien Lunesta ? -- For those who ,take it hightly
I took 10 mg Ambien for a while, off and on. It usually took a little while for it to take effect. I woke up in the morning groggy. Weird dreams too. Then I found 5mg Melatonin - 120count at Wally World for $4.98. Place one nice flavored dissolving 5mg tab under the tongue and as least for me, 10 mi...
