Re: Long hose for Airmini
I haven't tried it under pressure, but it all fits together reasonably well, if not super snug One piece out of this kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JH5TYFT An adapter like this (the one I am using came with the CPAP): https://www.amazon.com/Priority-CPAP-Supplies-Compatible-Connector/dp/B...

Re: Long hose for Airmini
The goal is to increase the overall hose length. HumidX stays in place. I found a combination of two adapters that allow an extension at the machine side. Will give it a try.

Long hose for Airmini
Is it possible to come up with a longer hose solution for the Airmini that still retains the HumidX?

Airsense 11 right angle power adapter
I have a Dreamstation Go I bought for travel. Still not recalled so trying to not use it. Bought an Airsense 11 to replace my old 10, and also thought it would be smaller than the 10 due to published specs. Turns out the specs are misleading. The power connector is proprietary. Has anyone seen a rig...

Re: Accessory case for Dreamstation Go
NOBODY should be allowed to touch your carry-on--except YOU. Wrap the mask in something thick and soft-- like pajamas. ALL of your cpap stuff should be with YOU. Thanks. The problem is in getting the carry-on into the overhead without hitting the mask, not so much someone else touching it. I might ...

Accessory case for Dreamstation Go
Bought a Dreamstation Go for backup use and for travel (when things get back to normal). The design of the medium travel case they sell for it is not terribly practical. No space for hose, mask, etc. The included fabric bag works fine, except that if it is placed in a carry-on, there is a reasonable...

Re: new APAP is arriving today -- what pressure should I use?
Got my new Intellipap 2 and also the SoftLink 3 software (couldn't get Sleepyhead to work). I set the minimum same as the old machine, at 8. The data shows I am staying at 8 much of time. Is this an issue? AHI is 1.3 I imagine I will try lowering slightly and getting new data. I know that when I tr...

Re: CPAP providers who don't require a sleep study?
Couple of points ... 1. If you do go for a sleep study the doc has to order the split-nite study. 2. If Medicare is in your future the diagnostic portion of the study has to be a min. of 120 minutes min. make certain this is clear before the study. 3. You must know by now the reason to request a co...

Re: CPAP providers who don't require a sleep study?
[ There is one "maybe"...and it's a fairly big maybe. Split sleep study....where if you meet criteria for OSA they put you on cpap as soon as you meet criteria (and criteria is whatever the sleep lab uses for split study diagnosis enough to warrant putting you on a cpap that night). It's a maybe be...

Re: CPAP providers who don't require a sleep study?
Seth, From was I was able to read, the DME that you got your last machine from with insurance no longer sells CPAPs, but is still in business. If that's the case, they probably sold their CPAP business and should be able to refer you to the purchaser of that business (sort of like a doctor selling ...

Re: CPAP providers who don't require a sleep study?
Heard back from insurance. Another person said they won't even try to find a DME that doesn't require a sleep study.
Unless there is a 'light' sleep study that doesn't require me to spend a night without the CPAP, I am just going to buy one out of pocket.

Re: CPAP providers who don't require a sleep study?
I am using my old machine (around 8 years old) currently. Note that my last machine was paid for by insurance, I was able to find a DME that didn't require a sleep test. That DME has ceased selling CPAPs. I also now have a newly purchased travel machine as a backup if needed, so there isn't a sense ...

Re: CPAP providers who don't require a sleep study?
No issues paying out of pocket. I just bought a travel machine that way. But every DME I have talked to requires a sleep test for insurance claims, even though the insurance company does not. The insurance company is now talking to a number of providers, will see if that yields any results. If not I...

Re: CPAP providers who don't require a sleep study?
The problem is, every DME I have talked to imposes that restriction.
Buying out of pocket is the alternative, it is easy to do, and if I can't find a way forward that is what I'll do.
