Perfect answer. Thank you. Switching to Very High to see what happens.
And you're correct -- VPAP, it is.

RedMed9 BPAP: What are Trigger and Cycle Settings?
Any idea what these mean? My choices are: Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High.
Default setting is Medium. After months of recording, I think I've found my good EPAP setting. Now I'm trying to refine it. I still have not dropped below that magical AHI=5 score!
Thanks.

Re: My fight with aerophagia (air swallowing).
This happens to me every night! At 2:30am, I feel great. At 5am, I'm exhausted.Sleeper Agent wrote:
Paradoxically, I felt refreshed and awake when I woke up after 5 hours. But felt like shit after going back an addition 1 hour 43 mins (mask on) and 45 minutes (mask off). )

Re: Is it normal to feel sleepy in then afternoon?
I had sleep apnea my whole life, and so has never known what is normal. Just started CPAP for 2.5 weeks. Recently worked out most of the problems and has been extremely refreshed and awake. But I would often get sleepy in the afternoon, say 1 pm to 6 pm, but very awake in the morning and night. A d...

Re: Experimental Results of increasing pressure
Enjoyed reading this. I have been experimenting with increasing EPAP pressure here, too, from a 4, to 6, and now to 7.6. And like you, I've been keeping notes and using the SleepyHead software to track it
Keep reporting your findings.

What is a PS setting on a ResMed9 BiPap?
My pressure is set at min 6 and max 25. My ramp is 5. My AHIs all average 8.5-10. For the last week, my Median/Max EPAPs are : 8.56/13.96; 8.54/13.98; 7.06/13.32; and 6.65/15.16. (These are the first readings with the increase to 6.) What is a PS setting? Mine is set at 4. Is that a constant, meanin...

Re: Swallowing air
Your graph for July 10 looks similar to mine, except I am usually around a 4-6 and then spike up to 16-20 for the last couple hours. I have a full face mask and am a definite mouth breather. And because of swimming outdoors and allergies, one side of my nose is usually clogged. And I'm swallowing a ...

AHI is 3.8 at 2am, but 8.9 at 5am. Normal?
Very intrigued by this forum. Is it normal for AHI to spike as you wake up? When I wake up at 2am, my AHI has been averaging 3-5. But when I wake up a few hours later, it's in the 8-10 range. It seems like others who have posted their sleep charts have a similar pattern. What software does everyone ...
