Thanks guys.
It's the cheapest ResMed s9. People here always complain about lacking features.

CPAP producing flow when turned off?
I am trying to determine if this is normal operation- today I noticed that my CPAP is producing a small airflow even when it's turned off. I have discovered that the machine will power up automatically if I block the intake with my finger but I never noticed this flow just being on all the time. My ...

Re: Oxygen therapy, really?!
In my case I apparently snore so loudly that it actually disrupts my sleep. My AHI is something like 10 on my back, but there was some other number in the high 50s, 4-letter acronym I'm not remembering, that indicated snoring. So the take away is I still want to deal with the snoring, but other than...

Re: Oxygen therapy, really?!
I wanted to post a followup regarding how this turned out: I went to see a pulmonologist at the Mayo Clinic about all this and he started laughing when I told him the sequence of events. The pulse oximetry did show a dip but his interpretation was: The device fell off your finger. There is no way th...

Re: Oxygen therapy, really?!
It's the cheap Resmed Escape Auto. I just recently switched to a full face mask, so we'll see how that goes. With the FFM I am sleeping with my mouth wide open now, which I don't do with the nasal mask, but I understand that doesn't make much difference with the FFM. I'll also wake up sometimes with...

Re: Pressure increasing each day
Just checked again.. This is the only listing I see that says both "S9" and "Escape". Nothing specifically says "Escape Auto" on the selection list.

Re: Pressure increasing each day
1) I thought I _had_ updated to the correct model from the list I saw on this site, after initially choosing the wrong model. I'll check again. 2) This is interesting about how the apnea correction will not go above 10, even though the machine as a whole states it will go to (at least 14). I'll chec...

Re: Pressure increasing each day
Thanks much for the input. Leaks are definitely possible. It feels today like I've had the best sleep so far, even though the AHI and pressure is up and I was tossing and turning all night.

Pressure increasing each day
In an effort to try to use my machine 'better', I've been keeping a sleep log. I have a crappy ResMed that does not record detailed data but it will tell you last night's AHI and pressure, which is the max pressure I assume. I've been using a chinstrap in an effort to keep my mouth closed. First nig...

Oxygen therapy, really?!
Four or five years ago I had a sleep study, and as it turns out I had some mild sleep apnea. I was told that my saturation didn't go that low but that I would probably sleep better with a CPAP, so I got one and used it. Had a couple more follow-up appointments, where they downloaded information from...
