Take an extension cord.
I carry my machine onto the airplane with 4 litres of distilled water and a doctors note that says I must travel with 4 litres of distilled water. Airport Security always opens the bag, finds the water, reads the note and lets me pass.

Re: Using CPAP overseas
You machine says it will work at 240 Volts so all you need is an adaptor, not a convertor. You do not need to worry about anything overheating etc because your label says it uses about 3 amps at 24 Volts DC. This means it uses approximately 0.3 Amps at 240 volts So just be sure you have an adapter t...

Re: How to can I reduce Centrals caused by BIPAP pressure
Thank you all. I really must try post some pictures and will. But most important is the psychological impact of being on this forum and knowing you are all there. The night after I posted my question, my AHI dropped to 1.9, the lowest ever, for the first time! Obviously because of the care you all h...

How to can I reduce Centrals caused by BIPAP pressure
Hello All, I have been on the forum since November, have had incredible help from Pugsy, and after 2 months have reduced my AHI from 15 in my sleep study to less than 4. I read all the daily dialogue and have benefited from it. Masks, Humidity, settings etc with Thanks To All Of You. My sleep study,...

Re: Using CPAP overseas
Check the label on the back of machine or on the power module if the power module is part of the cord. It may say something like 220ACV-120ACV. (220 Volts AC - 120Volts AC where AC means alternating current) Many of todays electronics actually work at both voltages and only need an adapter (not a co...

Anyone with Apnea have shortness of breath during the day?
I have just been just diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and will get geared up shortly. But I wonder if there may be a relationship between the Apnea and my shortness of breath during the day. It is intermittent and despite massive doctor checking for every problem (defective heart valve, lung problems, he...

Just got diagnosed with Sleep Apnea
The sleep clinic gave me a list of companies to go to who offer a free trial and support to get adjustments right etc. Yet someone with a CPAP already said that the prices they charge are very high (ie $1500 to $2500 for the equipment). Do any members have advice on how I should proceed? ie work wit...
