Re: Recording data on "new to me" Resmed airsense 10
FAA requires the "official" papework from a provider. I have DME who will read the card and sell me the occasional "emergency item" so i should be good to go. I did clear her data on the machine and i'll put it in airplane mode and just leave it there. I have my SD card from my S9 that's getting ret...

Recording data on "new to me" Resmed airsense 10
I purchased a machine from a friend who ended up deciding not to treat her slight apnea. I am a pilot and must have records of my usage. I'm going to get an SD card in the morning but is there anything I need to do in order to make sure that the machine isn't sending information to her former physic...

Re: Rage, Depression - Changes with CPAP?
Yep.....it takes awhile to heal. Patience grasshopper! Also....if eventually you don't feel more in control of your rage and depression, you might want to try a medication. They can make a big difference. People seem to really fight taking those...........but if they make your life worth living, wh...

Re: Got a sleep study, but it didn't go well.
What mask did they send you home with? Does it hurt or leak? When I got my machine I was so exhausted from not getting sleep that when I got a close to reasonable fit I was sleeping at least 4 hours before I'd wake up.. and not always then. All that is to say, if you can't sleep tonight try to reall...

Trade headgear Quatro FX large for medium / standard.
Purchased the head gear separate from the mask and didn't realize that large wasn't necessary for the large size mask. Pretty sure that if I could come up with medium head gear it would be a great mask.

Suggest a mask based on this issue with the mirage quatro
I'm able to make the mirage quattro work with the forehead adjustment smashed all the way down... I must have a weird shaped face. Other than the nose piece occasionally leaking into my eyes, especially when my face gets oily I really like this mask... also it's a large and if it were any bigger it ...

Re: Beards and Masks
I did a fund raiser where I agreed to go a day without shaving for every dollar donated to help find a cure for EB... a disease my nephew has. As a result I have a beard that hasn't been touched in almost 2 years. My L mirage quattro is a little big but still hardly ever leaks at the beard... at lea...

Re: Poll: Have Any of You Been Caught Changing Your Pressure?
I had my first study... Doc ordered a second which I cancelled when I got a s9 autoset. I then called and told him what I was doing and he wrote me the prescription from the supplies and told me to let him know if I needed anything else... His nurse goes to my church and told me that after my phone ...

Re: Poll: Have Any of You Been Caught Changing Your Pressure?
A very small subset of patients might be able to hurt themselves by increasing pressure if they tried really hard to hurt themselves doing it, but other than that rare circumstance, the air ain't pressurized enough to hurt nobody no way no how. In my non-doc opinion. news reports of small woman inf...

When will people learn that being right doesn't give you permission to be a jerk. There are some people I love in this forum but the jerks are given far to much freedom.

Re: How do nasal masks compare to pillows?
Can you sleep with a nasal interface and not breathe or leak air through your mouth? If you leak from the mouth, pressure is lost and the CPAP therapy might not be effective. If you can't keep your lips sealed while sleeping, full face masks are made for you. I use one and it works well for me. I c...

Re: How do nasal masks compare to pillows?
I tend to lie more on my face and the ff mask is a trick to get comfortable with... and sometimes I wake up with a sore cheek if I roll over on it.LSAT wrote:If the FF mask seems to be working for you why the need to change?

How do nasal masks compare to pillows?
I was quite excited to get a swift fx nasal pillow... however, after several attempts, it's just not working. I have two major complaints about the pillows. 1 is that they seem to make my nose quite sore. After about 4 hours I end up going back to the full face mask. 2. It seems that the pressure is...
