Re: seeking APAP equipment advice for self pay newbie
I was in the exact same condition. You can see in my equipment list I have the DeVibiss unit and a nose pillow. I was also a mouth breather but have managed to keep my mouth closed without a chin strap. My total bill was about $600 and I used PayPal's bill me later option which gives me payments of ...

Re: Do CPAP users still feel the need for naps?
I understand your example but not as it relates to sleeping. To that extent, sandpaper on your skin in small amounts builds up callouses and makes your skin tougher, which is good if you need tougher skin and not good if you don't.

Re: Do CPAP users still feel the need for naps?
... and never do it without your machine because you'll undo the good built up over nights. I'm not doubting what you're saying here but I don't understand it. If the nap off CPAP isn't as restful as it would be on CPAP I get how that's not as restful, but I don't get how it undoes a past event, ie...

Re: Do CPAP users still feel the need for naps?
I stopped napping because I didn't want to get into bed, hook up, etc for 20 minutes to maybe an hour. That said there is the occasional afternoon I'll finish lunch sitting on the sofa and the next thing I know I'm waking up a bit later. That might happen once every 2 or 3 weeks.

Re: What a difference....
That's fantastic. I think the only way I'll get 7 hours without waking up is to soak my filters in chloroform.

Yeah, the second one. That's what I'm using, but my nose does itch so maybe I'll give the other one a shot.

Nasal pillows
I always go to bed feeling like my nostrils look like this https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2922/14014750774_5a82d23a03_z.jpg but wake up in the morning feeling like they look like this http://i.ytimg.com/vi/_kqG6VdxMTU/maxresdefault.jpg I'm adjusting straps, using Lamisil or whatever it is, etc. I gue...

Re: Drooling Newbie
I was before I started CPAP but using a nasal pillow means I have to keep my mouth shut so a side effect of that is no more drooling.

Loosen the straps and then route the hose up instead of down.
