Re: OSCAR data (SD cards needed)
Hi All, It's been a while since I've been here. I have CA and have Respironics System One 60 series BiPAP autoSV Advanced. It's been 5 years since being diagnosed. I never really got used to wearing it. I get frustrated and give it up only to try again because I feel like crap. I want to try again t...

Re: Amara view - how to adjust for best breathing?
Welcome to the world of CPAP. I've been using the same mask for about 2 weeks. What worked for "me", is that I needed a liner but only for the mouth area.(Which I made myself) I also switched headgear. I use the headgear from the Hans Rudolph 7600 V2 Full Face because it seems less stretchy than the...

Re: And SleepyHead's New Software License is...
Mark, As a person with limited means, I rely on the intelligence , hard work and generosity of people like you. I am happy you decided to keep SleepyHead the same. There are a lot of us who are up to are neck in medical costs after being diagnosed with sleep apnea and what not. Only to be given ...

Re: I have tried 15 masks
littlerainjacket, Have you tried a mask liner like RemZzz's? I went through 3 nasals and 3 FFM until I tried one of those liners. That took care of the leaking. I did have to modify the liner by cutting a piece out that contacts between my lower lip and chin to resolve leaking in that area. It's som...

Re: Who else has pressure ranging from 21 to 25?
Isn't it amazing the invitations that we XPAPer's come up with. I got the headgear switch idea from a poster on this forum. I think I'll try the cervical collar but I've been having a little trouble with air in my stomach because of the high pressures. Will the collar make it worse?

Re: Who else has pressure ranging from 21 to 25?
I also have had a terrible time finding a mask because of high pressures. I've tried some of the ones you have but I have the problem of my mouth dropping open when I fall asleep. I've tried chin straps and they don't work. I had some success with the F&P Simplus. The RT that I work with has been to...

I'm new and have a question for sleepgrumpy. You wrote:
What was the issue you had that you could not call the manufacture that made the machine and ask them? or maybe your DME provider?sleepygrumpy wrote:When I had an issue with a machine or two, I called the FDA to ask what they know.

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.8-1 Testing Builds
First off, well done Mark, I appreciated all the hard work your doing do help others of us with Sleep Disordered Breathing. I've been really enjoying exploring SleepyHead 0.9.8.1 test version. One very minor thing I noticed, for those of us that use the PRS1 960 ASV machine, where you have the list ...

Re: Newbie wants opinions of SH data
Just one thing, I "just" finished taking a good look at the events my machine marked as events using both SleepyHead and Encore and it was WAY off. More than 60% of the CA's (clear airways) were not CA's and it was even worse with the hypoapnea's. It was very obvious when you zoom into the flow rate...

Re: Has anyone ever had a night like this???
I just had to show someone. I'll probably get busted by my sleep doc when I go for my next follow up. With luck, he won't look at these days. All I changed was my backup rate from 12 to auto. Guess it didn't work to well did it??? Hee Hee Oh well, it's back to 12.

Has anyone ever had a night like this???
Hello All, Check these out. This is what you get when you play around with your settings when you've only got less than a month of treatment under your belt. Wow!!! http://i1375.photobucket.com/albums/ag449/Snowleopard28/SleepyHead/screenshot-20140817-155929_zps98e77360.png [/url] http://i1375.photo...

If it's trying to make you breathe too quickly, your body is going to fight it since it doesn't want to hyperventilate. Auto will adapt to you to some extent, but I don't think it'll go to zero. Thanks a lot Pugsy, I'll try to get in to see my doc next week. Who knows, maybe this "Cadillac", as my sleep doctor called it, will figure me out this weekend. [WHITE SMILING FACE]

Re: New to ASV therapy, need advice
I haven't played with the Pro to much yet. You were right about it being a pain. I found the hours use. I quess what I was trying to say was, there's no summary of the fragmented sleep hours. It's not a big deal but my sleep is just what you see. I sleep for a short time, then I'm awake for a while,...
