Re: How often do I really need to clean tube and water chamber?

I live in a humid area and I still haven't noticed anything icky looking or smelling in my humidifier or equipment at all. I only use distilled water. I've gone months just topping my humidifier up every night (or couple nights) and not cleaning it. And when I have cleaned it, it's just because I fe...

Re: How long to adjust to cpap?

It's not necessarily a black and white thing, like one day you hate it and the next day you're sleeping soundly. It took me a week or so to go "okay, this isn't too bad," but I think it took me a couple months for me to stop caring about it entirely. My AHI actually went up a bit once I started slee...

Re: Low AHI, small leaks, but leaks maybe related to events

Thank you so, so much. I clearly only know enough about CPAP to stare at charts and unnecessarily go into a panic And nope, I'm not being woken up. Slept right through the night and I no longer feel like death anymore either And you're right that I was on my back. It's awfully hot right now and slee...

Low AHI, small leaks, but leaks maybe related to events

Now that I'm actually sleeping for any length of time, my AHI has remained excellent, but I have noticed a bit more leaking in SleepyHead. I don't think it's anything major, but the chart started to worry me with leaks occurring in the general area of events. And maybe snores. But if I zoom in, the ...

Re: Recommendations for nasal masks to try or avoid

It's the only mask I've tried so far, but I like my Wisp. I am sure that it does vary for everyone though and that me saying this won't necessarily help, as discussed.

Re: New to CPAP

Thank you! Logically I knew the numbers are, indeed, excellent, but I still had the need to ask. Urgh, I guess I need to find a way to not nap that long, then. I nap for about 2 hours, and I guess it's messing everything up by making me need less sleep at night, which in turn makes me tired and need...

Re: trouble adjusting-- anxiety and noise =(

I'm just starting CPAP too! I am surprised at how well I am adjusting, because I am autistic and very easily overwhelmed and upset by sensory input. So here are the things that might be helping me: I have slept with a fan on for years to block out household noise and calm me down, so I haven't notic...

Re: New to CPAP

Thanks for the replies, both of you! Sorry for the confusion, I am using a constant pressure of 10. The 4 remaining there is from when I was using the ramp feature the first few times. I stopped using that because I felt like I was suffocating (even when I put it to start at 6 or so), so now I just ...

New to CPAP

You all are so helpful, and I am so obsessed with looking at my data in SleepyHead, that I thought I would ask some questions just to see if I am on the right track. Backstory: I am 23 and have had severe fatigue since my teenage years that has gotten worse and worse, and I got diagnosed with OSA a ...
