Re: Recommendation for Nasal Pillow
Hello everyone, I am planning to go for Septoplasty and Reduction of Turbinates surgery to clear my nasal path and allow me to use nasal pillow (instead of full face mask I am currently using). I was hoping to get some advice on which of ResMed Nasal Pillow masks got best reviews, especially for si...

Re: Options for when I'm unable to use my machine
I used to have chronic sinus infections, constantly. I used a saline spray, which didn't help much. Then I discovered the Neils Sinus Rinse & I rarely suffer from a sinus infection now. I've been on CPAP 14 years & most of that time I suffered with chronic sinusitis. I learned to wear my CPAP anywa...

Thanks! That would be awesome if I could get that to work! I'll check it out!JDS74 wrote:I just posted a discussion on how to get additional humidity that may apply to your situation.
The Oracle mask does require lots of humidity so if you find you need more, this is a way to get it.

Re: Options for when I'm unable to use my machine
Everyone here is so awesome! Thank you! You all seem so knowledgeable and experienced. I know there is no single solution that works for everyone, so I'm going to try the mask suggested by JDS74 first. If I can find a way to continue my CPAP therapy close to 100% of the time, then I'll be happy. The...

Re: Options for when I'm unable to use my machine
nanwilson makes clear what I was going to say. Find a mask that works for you, even on the worst days. There are oral, full face and whole face masks, offering hundreds of choices. You are all absolutely right! I does come down to the right mask, which I apparently haven't been using! I can't do th...

Re: Options for when I'm unable to use my machine
I currently have pneumonia.... still using my machine all night every night. My nose is stuffed up from allergies and my lungs from the pneumonia, I still would NOT SPEND ONE NIGHT without my cpap machine. If I can make it through, then you can too, just use a full face mask and you will be able to...

Re: Options for when I'm unable to use my machine
Talk to to respiratory doctor and see if an oral mask for those days will be safe to use. If you experience virtually total blockage of your nasal passages, the Oracle 2 mask bypasses all that. Please read my detailed post linked below before you talk to your doc so you are up to speed on what you ...
