Who is your sleep doctor?
A little over a year ago, I had a sleep study done at a center owned by the major medical network in my area. The center itself is housed in a neuroscience building (but has other types of doctors and specialists in it as well). I had a neurologist read my sleep study, and then I met with him and he...

Re: How do nasal masks compare to pillows?
Stratapastor, good luck with changing people's behaviors! To the OP, the mustache adds a layer of complexity. For me, the pillows work best, although I have also found nasal masks that work well. The key seems to the mustache being trimmed "just right" for you, taking the time to follow the suggest...

Re: Is Apria Really That Bad?
I just started back on my machine two nights ago, and I switched from a full face to a Wisp. I am liking the Wisp so far. It comes with all three size nasal masks so you don't have to worry about it not fitting you. I have had my ups and downs with Apria. When I first got the machine a little over a...

Re: best way to reset Cicardian rhythm?
I had an appointment with my new neurologist today, and she diagnosed me with delayed sleep phase. For me, 1am-9am is a pretty normal time for me. It definitely affects me because I am supposed to be at work at 6am, which would mean getting up at 4:30am. Luckily I have a boss who tolerates me. He do...

Re: best way to reset Cicardian rhythm?
I can't rember the name of it but there is another cheep device made for this. What it does is start to turn on a small light 30 min. before you get up. But it's not all at once it starts as a very dim glow and takes 30 min to reach full brightness just like what happens in nature. One other thing ...

Re: Masks - questions from a newbie
Thanks for the posts, guys. Sorry it took me so long to get back here. I have what the doctor calls tactile sensitivity - I don't like things touching me. I can't wear hats at all. I would try to sleep with the full face mask on and found it difficult to fall asleep and I would wake up and could not...

Re: CPAP help with finding a provider
I am chiming in with my experience with Apria - it was totally different. Here, they have a warehouse and a separate storefront in a strip mall. I went to the strip mall location to pick up my machine. I had picked out my headgear beforehand, so I don't know if there were options available at the st...

Transportation Security Administration. They are the government employed security personnel at airports. Previous to 9/11 it was airport security who handled screening passengers and baggage.avi123 wrote:What is TSA?

Masks - questions from a newbie
Did not see a thread specifically devoted to masks on the CPAP Basics Table of Contents. Didn't see anything recent in the front page threads or product news. Obviously everyone is going to have their own preferences when it comes to masks. And probably a lot of people just get used to using the mas...

Re: Where can I download Encore Pro 2?
Newbie here, hope I set everything up right. I have a REMstar Pro C-Flex+ machine. I got it about a year or so ago, used it for maybe 3-4 nights, then stopped. Recent trip to a new endocrinologist (thyroid) got me a good lecture that I need to be compliant. Primary care doctor also asks about my com...
