As previously stated, for a subset of people with ADHD this isn't a myth. I'm a physician. We are each welcome to our own opinions.

Re: Coming to Terms

A few thoughts: -Congratulations on finally finding some better sleep -using Xanax as a sleep aid is a little controversial -melatonin can cause sleep problems for some people, even after initial success -presumably your sleep study showed no limb movement disorders -some ADHD patients paradoxically...

Re: Which new Bipap or ASV machine?

I appreciate the feedback and your logic as well. In my specific circumstance I'm in a situation where shipping costs are a substantial percentage of the overall purchase cost. Statistically it would indeed seem that an APAP machine will offer at least an 80% chance of providing what I need. I may e...

Re: Remzzz liners - anybody know the best deal on the web?

I am new to all of this, but one reviewer on Amazon suggested that the material used in the pads is the same thing as "baby jersey fabric" and that you can purchase said fabric from a local fabric store and cut out your own pads for a fraction of the price of the actual pads.

Re: How to convince old friend to use cpap

If not familiar, consider reading about the stages of changing behavior, aka the transtheoretical model of behavioral change. Your friend is in the "contemplative" stage. There are a multitude of reasons that he isn't more motivated. Denial. Fear. Ambivalence. Frustration that he isn't as healthy as...

Which new Bipap or ASV machine?

My unusual circumstance: I'm a physician doing relief work overseas. Like many docs, I'm not a "good" patient. I've had sleep apnea issues for some time and I need to do something about it. I won't have access to a sleep study for at least 6 months. I need at least a CPAP but for comfort I'd prefer ...

Re: Where to purchase equipment?

I will start another thread with follow-up questions but I would offer the following thoughts regarding shipping outside the US: 1) I've shipped many thousands of dollars worth of medical equipment to myself outside the U.S. and have never had anything held up on the U.S. export side. I've never shi...

Re: Where to purchase equipment?

Thank you for all the responses and suggestions.

Indeed I do have a U.S. address and a mail/parcel forwarding service such that the initial purchase may be sent to a U.S. address.

Thanks again!

Where to purchase equipment?

Greetings, Hopefully this type of question is legal in this forum. My apologies if not. I am an American living overseas and need to purchase a new machine (my first). I have a prescription but am looking to purchase a machine from the US and have it shipped as US prices are much better than what I ...
