Re: Mask help for new cpap user

Hi Mark, Welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of helpful and knowledgeable people here. First of all, it helps a lot if you put your equipment details in your signature. If you go to your user control panel in the top lefthand corner, you will find a link to "profile" and under that "edit equip...

Re: Newbies unintuitive advice from sleep lab

Do you have any cream on your face at night? Because that will spoil the seal. Best to make sure your skin is completely oil free before sleeping with the mask. I use mild soap and water, and pat well dry. Moisturise in the morning. Once you have the air flowing, gently lift the mask off your face s...

Last night's data - not so good

Maybe I'm getting a bit obsessed. New machine, new data system...I know I can't expect perfect, but I do want to know whether things are good enough ( I really do want perfect though ) Last night I slept much deeper, and there are a lot more events, but OAs are only 0.7. I am concerned about the flo...

Re: SleepyHead Data - looks OK?

Is this what you want, Robysue? It's the Resp Rate. Otherwise I've only got Tidal and Minute Volumes, AHI, Insp time, Exp time and Mask Pressure.
PS I'll post more in your other thread soon.

Re: SleepyHead Data - looks OK?

Steve Reno, I use Photobucket, but I think other photo sites might be easier, I don't know. I set up my SH name as 'moby' instead of my real name. I get the SH data on the screen, press Alt and "Print Screen" on the keyboard. This copies the screenshot. This might not work for you, I think it depend...

Re: My first follow up

If you can remember to pee in the pot, you can remember to put your mask back on
Visualise yourself in that routine, I mean, rehearse it mentally, when you go to bed.

Re: Nasal Stuffiness with Swift FX Pillows

Sounds to me like you need to adjust the humidity - either up or down, it a very individual thing. Just move it slowly in one direction or the other, see if that makes a different, and experiment by changing very gradually over several nights.

Re: Hi, new here

Yeah, it sounds to me like you are experiencing OSA. I urge you to get tested and get on xPAP as soon as possible. It is not hyperbole to say that this is a life-threatening condition. Agree totally. You fit the classic picture of someone with OSA too, with the weight and the diabetes. May I guess ...

Figured it out - have to leave the reader card all night while I'm sleeping.

SleepyHead Data - looks OK?

Hi all, Here is my latest SH data. I think it looks OK at the current pressures. I use an F&P Icon Premo, which is fixed pressure with a "sensawake" feature (the yellow vertical stripe in the FL graph) which reduces pressure when it senses you're waking up. That accounts for the two pressures. I wou...

Re: Throat issue that won't go away

When you're lying down and ready to go to sleep, try holding your breath briefly so you can press your whole tongue against the roof of your mouth, then swallow. This keeps my tongue in place all night and helps with the problems you describe. If you wake up, just do it again before you settle back ...

SleepyHead graph hide-and-seek

My first "SleepyHead" download last week showed numerous graphs for the first data import, but since then I've only got the top ones - AHI, Leakage, Events and Pressure. Is it something I've done? I'd quite like to get the RespiratoryRate back.
