Re: Generator/Power inverter

My pressure is set at 13. I will be camping in the hills of East Tennessee near a river. I found a 40 w solar panel and was thinking maybe I could use that to charge the battery during the day (assuming we have sun!)

Re: Generator/Power inverter

[/quote] As long as you're not using heated humidifier or heated hose you would probably do well with a few of these U1 scooter batteries. Just remember you don't want to discharge them down to 0% of capacity as it will shorten their life. Plan to use 50-80% of the battery capacity, then charge. [/q...

Re: Generator/Power inverter

I figured it had been asked many times! I've been sitting here reading and hubby hassling me over spending so much time reading. "Well, can't you live without for a few days?" Yeah, reading time is somewhat limited and add to that not be sure about what I read sometimes...... never hurts to double c...

You can use battery power
See this thread for the basics

After reading through the thread, I am thinking about the Resmed converter with a couple of scooter batteries. Will that work? Any opinions?

Generator/Power inverter

I have a Resmed S9 and will be going camping soon where there is no power I will be there 4 nights and need to figure out how to run my cpap while there. Any suggestions on models? I know Honda, but they are really pricey. What do I need to look for? I'm at a loss here.

Re: Are some people aware of their own apneas?

I was not aware of them while I slept in the bed, but I did sometimes notice them. That is way I went to the doctor finally. I would fall asleep and wake up as I felt my throat open up. I had a few times when I felt my throat close while awake. I don't think that is a typical thing though, but it is...

Re: will my sleep Dr be mad?

Just to add - my mother was of the pre depression era and I was raised with those family values and respect for elders, "authority" etc. The good and the bad were always there! My mother was molested by a preacher when she was young and no one did anything. I was terrified of anyone in "authority" f...

Re: Newbie

Welcome, Lostfan1 I am a newbie as well - 4 days in! My husband has already seen a difference in me - I don't look like a zombie first thing in the morning! Hopefully as your husband sees improvement he will become more supportive. In the meantime, if he is open to learning, share information about ...

Re: Rape topic?

I have no thoughts as to the accuracy of the story, but I prefer to believe that the woman is just trying to be helpful. I will admit that the first time I went in for my study in April, that was one of the thoughts that went through my head as I followed a lone gentleman into the center. I soon fou...

Re: The start of my CPAP treatment. 06/05/14

I don't know about the AHI, I'm still learning, but my humidity was set to three when I got it and the first morning I woke up with sneezing fits and dry sinus. I changed it to 3.5 and it seems to be better. That is a comfort setting. If you think going higher might help, try it. I know that with th...

Re: Want to hear amusing?

He will. I just thought it was interesting that he is so used to hearing me snore and stop breathing that now that I am quiet all night, he worries that I'm not making noise. We will adjust. So far the hardest part of this process has been waiting on the prescription! I am stoked that it is going so...

Want to hear amusing?

Now that I am sleeping - hubby cannot! He says it is too quiet and he tosses and turns worrying!

2 night in and curious

I have slept two night now with the CPAP and while I still am yawning this morning, it is definitely an improvement. I am sure it will get even better as time goes on. My question is... Did anyone else have the experience of suddenly sleeping in one position the entire night? I have never stayed in ...

Honestly, I can't compare it to anything else, but so far I like it! Of course, I'm a newbie and just got my machine yesterday, but I used this last night and for a nap today.,...
Hubby was concerned that the machine would interfere with him sleeping but he didn't hear a thing!
